There's was only first place, hardest charge and general ripping hard prizes. I got a general ripping hard prize of some new elbow pads! W00!

Some serious skills were out that day. The two guys in the final were laying down all kinds of standup including switch blunts!

I managed to get longest powerslide of the day though, was at least 20foot I think...

Here's a primo stoke injection for this thread! I took my mudslide gloves with greenhorns and some extra mudstones to SLIDE QUEST (UK slide comp) last weekend. All who saw them were stoked at how awesome they are. Lent the mudstones out to a few people to test the slideyness and they were very blown away. My buddy Hugo was smashing them through pressure spins like a maniac! Lots of people asked about the gloves and where they could get some.

Not being difficult but he has several kinds of pucks and gloves without a lot of explanation as to what they are and how there made are the green oned better than the mud ones??also would like more info on the shipping and type available..how do they compare to the compatition..

I'm pretty sure it says somehwere on the first page and in one of the links on jmastas sig but..
In a nut shell
Greens - uhmv last the longest. Slowest. (still fast!)
Black tops - delrin. Really really fast. Don't last as long as greens (but are holdin up for me quite well!!)
Mudstones - delrinaf. Fastest puck you can buy. Supposedly worst wear tho.

The cirrcular beveled shape makes every slide smooth as hell and keeps you from catchin an edge and whatnot.

I've only used bv's and loaded before this and these are def my favorite

No mudstones have much better durability, Delrin is the stuff that wears really quickly.

mudstones are delrin? Just have a special powder (not remembering the name) that mixed with the delrin to make it faster. Wouldn't it have the same wear properties as the blacktops?

My UHMV pucks are slower, but more durable than the Mudstones.

That being said, I can do more tech sides with the Mudstones because they are so fast (they don't slow you down much). Maybe that's why they wear down faster-I am sliding longer.

I still use my UHMV pucks for downhill (easier to do a shutdown slide).

Mudstones are made of delrin with teflon. They are faster than normal delrin but as durable as uhwmpe.

all your questions shall be answered. I admit this thread is a mess and all the info is scattered around. It's really too much info for a single forum post.... hence why I need the website

Basically, shipping on one pair of gloves is:
-$5.00 for 2-3 day priority mail
-$2.50 for 5-6 media mail

I still have yet to determine just how long a MudStone (DelrinAF) lasts compared to a GreenHorn (UHMW). The textbooks tell me twice as long, but experimentally I feel this may be a little optimistic

Wear Factor (higher the number, quicker the wear)
-UHMW = 111
-Delrin = 216
-DelrinAF = 65


I personally use the BlackTops the most, and am still quite impressed with how long they last. I'm maybe half-way through my first set of palms.... and that represents several months of hard, hands-down tech sliding
