well for those of us that actually aren't "sliders" with set ups and what not i think the greenhorns would be the safest bet.
all though i would be interested in taking a corner with a hand and not shrugging a bit o speed. (black tops/stones.) they should arrive tommorow and ill let you wood pushers know whats up.

yeah definitely! I can see why so many people choose the Greens. They're cheaper and last longer... and are still plenty fast. They also happen to be a bit lighter in weight. These pucks are awesome for speedboarding and soft wheel sliding.


but the Blacks definitely rock for hard wheel, tech sliding (which is pretty much all I do anymore!)

hence the saying, "Once ya go Black, ya never go back!"

Hey don't worry. I've found that my local mail service, if they don't get the package before they send out mail trucks, it gets sent out tomorrow, so therefore one or two days later than the "estimated arrival". Kinda sucks but oh well, I'm expecting mine tommorow as well

Just got mine today. I'm super excited to try these things out (my experience in gloves = nil), but I gotta be at work soon -_-

Yay! Finally got them today!!!

First Impression: (pics/more info to come)
What I got: BB with "blem" greenhorns
These look great! I expected the gloves to be floppy, like garden-glove-floppy, but they were actually a great fit for my small hands! I had time to lay down just a couple of colemans and standups on the way back to my house; they make kind of a *pfffft* sound, while Corian makes more of a shriek. So yeah, they weren't "soundless", but they definitely weren't a ear-killer.

I got the "blem" pucks (greenhorns), and I barely noticed the blemish at all. It was very,very,very subtle. The only complaint: is the velcro supposed to go on the outside of the thumb?
The velcro is well placed on the fingers and palm, but on the thumb, the velcro is placed on where your fingernail should be, not on the "inside" of your thumb....

I don't know whether this is a defect, or if its just something sliders do...?
I'm might have to grab some velcro for that...

but overall, they were cheap, took an extra day shipping than stated (no problemo), and quality...BUY THEM!

edit: another plus for the pucks are the color; green is super super sexy.
and also I noticed MjKam11's gloves also have the thumb puck on the "outside", so I guess its justme

I must admit, I didn't like that velcro positioning at first either (its like on the side of where my thumb is, but I just moved the puck over a bit and they're fine now, I don't rely on the thumb puck at all, it just blocks the thumb from being thrashed if I ever screw up a slide.

Just got my pucks today, they seem great but I won't get a chance to test em out till my broken arm fully heals (just a few more weeks).

One thing though, I bought just the pucks but I was expecting both sides of velcro not just the hookside. Gotta get some velcro now too

On the plus side however, the greenhorns are very thick and seem like they will definitely last.

I just recieved my gloves! Sweet! I got mechanix with full GH's and although I've yet to try the pucks, the gloves are very comfortable and the wrist strap is very cool too. It's sorta elastic with a non-bulky velcro strap. Very cool gloves, thanks so much Jeff! Oh yea and my mom bought me some purple 4prezs, so I'm pretty much having an awesome day.

I got my gloves today and I have some feedback and suggestions for changes.

First off, the pucks are superb, great shape, very very light, and seem to be pretty durable.
Also, the leather the gloves are made out of is very comfortable. Not rough at all.

You should definitely change the positioning on the thumb pucks, or forget them entirely. Where they are placed now, they just get caught and rip off. I took them off and didn't use them. If you had them on the pad of the thumb, it would work much better.

The finger pucks seem to be a little too high up on the gloves, especially the pinky side puck. It's hard to put all your weight on them.

The tightening cord on the gloves are very nice. It makes it so it can fit pretty much all sizes. Once you tighten them down enough, they won't (can't) come off until you loosen it. The only thing is that the metal bulb on the end of the cord can bounce back and forth on the back of your hand, which can get a bit annoying. If you can, use a plastic one next time.

Please, get it together on the shipping. Your product is top quality, but having to wait two weeks for it was a bit much.

IMO you shouldn't be putting much weight on your fingers.

With that cord, I had the same problem, but I don't think he makes those gloves so I think its out of his control about the metal thing, my string broke and I don't tighten them at all and its easier that way

And with the shipping, what do you expect its a one operation cut him some slack, try waiting for a custom board if you think 2 weeks is bad. (sorry if that sounded nasty)

Ok I just came back from a 7 hour session with much sliding included...the reason I don't call it a slide session is because I'm running 79a 85mm speedvents on mah hellcat

But still; how they slide: Amazing, the only slides I can do are colemans,shutdowns,and standups...but I mean its still good enough for me; I started sliding just last week

After I slide, the gloves make my hands yellow lol...they're like stained yellow its kind of wierd haha...

but yeah the greenhorns slide smoother and quicker than corian IMO(and my neighbor thinks so too), and are much much much lighter...

Ok complaint time: So I was trying to adjust the awkward thumb puck, and after ripping the thumb on and off a couple times, the velcro came off entirely...

So, I ripped off the other thumb velcro piece (with ease), and super-glued them somewhere on the crease of the front/back side of the thumb on the glove...the glove has kind of a design flaw for sliding...The finger-nail side of the glove is too far to slide, and the inner-thumb side of the glove is also too far in, that it's touching the inside of your thumb instead...so, I superglued the velcro right in the middle, where there is a lining/crease, and it was all good...smooth sliding from there (not really, my speedvents were quite chattery)...

But I'm glad I got them. My other neighbor is considering getting some. Could work on some better adhesive for the velcro, but other than that, everything is awesome.

I got my greenhorns two days ago, I just haven't had a chance to post here...

I actually got mine exactly 2 days after I completed payment, so I'm not sure if everyone else just ordered during a bad time, or if the postal service messed up, but for my order at least, shipment was timely and very quick.

Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to actually try them out (blem'd GHs), but the blemish is not particularly noticeable and shouldn't affect sliding as far as I can tell thus far. I'll get back to you guys about that in a day or two when I can scrounge up some velcro.
