ⓂⓈⓉ MudSlide Gloves+Pucks: available 3/24/09!

Technically I'm just a broke college student without his own skate shop and plastic company with full CNC machines. I consider the $5/month donation pretty generous considering it's more than I have in my wallet right now. Not to mention, I don't even have a website yet.... what exactly would I pay to advertise? My email address?

And to compare me to a multi-million dollar company like Loaded.... is like comparing Walmart to the guy on the side of the road selling fruit out of his car. Even if his fruit tastes better and is organically grown, he's not going to be able to afford the fancy ads.

Not trying to bash Loaded or Gravity. There are just things I personally did not like about their gloves/pucks, so I changed them to my likings. Some people appreciate and support this....most will never be the wiser...and will continue to support your so called "high class" companies.

Hurray for capitalism!

In latest news..... most recent batch of gloves that went out used Shoe Goo under the velcro. That stuff may take longer to dry and is toxic as all hell.... but it sure works well! I think I'm going to "stick" with it

Just took these gloves to the Loaded Irvine SLide Jam, they did very well. Only complaint is that my fingers are yellow now, haha

haha yeah this is normal with most leather gloves. Thankfully this goes away after a few sessions

Yup i've done my research about Delrin as well (I was bored one day) and one of the guys I skate with has really old Delrin that's actually white......

You can still get that. Black delrin is actually a little more expensive than the natural (white). But who really wants to slide on white pucks? pfffftt!

good to hear about the shoe goo. That was my only issue with the gloves, but I just glued them myself and they stay on there really good.

Hey I really want to get some of gloves+pucks, but the specs of greenhorns suit me, but I HATE the colour, would it be possible to dye it (home made style)?
I'm thinking of getting the BT instead, pretty much cos they look sooo much better, but I think they might make slide like made and not grip for my dh.
Oh and right now I'm running the loaded pucks and I really like the feel...
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Edit: Just read the puck info again... do the black tops slide like gravitys?

Green ain't your thang, huh? I'm not sure if you can dye them. You might be able to use Rit dye, like dying wheels.... but to be honest, I have no idea

The GreenHorns feel very similar to Loaded's green pucks. For some reason though, it seems that Loaded's pucks wear quicker. Feels like a softer UHMW-PE to me. I'm not sure why, but I killed my Loaded pucks in under a month. The GreenHorns wear like BlackVelvets (i.e, they last forever)

The BlackTops slide and feel exactly the same as Gravity's gen2 pucks (the black ones). It's the same material, just in a circular shape. These are my pucks of choice. They last a good bit of time (I'm still on my 1st set) and slide crazy fast

in my opion the loadeds are faster than the greenhorns. the greenhorns are still quick and will outlast the loadeds ten fold. idk about the black tops.

the black tops DESTROY loaded palms any day. its a joke comparing the two. you can tell just by loking at them that the blacktops/greenhorns destroy stupid loadeds..

and the finger pucks. loaded makes THE WORST fingers imaginable. they're terrible. no comparison

sorry for anyone who likes laodeds. I Hate them and am completely biased after skating mudslides.

The loaded pucks are weird, they feel slicker than regular UHMW-PE. But its not as smooth, but I don't have the most extensive experience on loadeds (taken them down like 2 runs). I had extensive experience on the original cool cow loaded pucks, good times. It was a very extensive two days that I knew them.

I use gravitys for light dh, and I think they're great... I like a really slick glove, I don't really see any reason for anything slower. Mechanix + Blacktops is on my wish-list once my gravitys die (and once I have some $$ )

I more of a tech sliding guy, but I use the Blacks for some DH without any problems. I like the feel of the faster pucks, but I'm not trying to rail hairpins at 50mph. haha I also don't want to take the time to swap out my pucks

Also, I don't know if this affects your decision... but I'm actually currently sold out of the Green fingers and won't be able to cut anymore Green palms until I get my miter saw back (see previous pages to see pics of my demolished saw). I can still cut the Blacks and Muds with my bandsaw
