I think its ok to use blacktops (I know this because i've used Gravity's Delrin) for some DH where you're not going all that fast. The thing about them is that they're not all that predictable because of how slippery they are, when you go faster, they get more slippery, thats how all pucks work (physics). Thats why you see UHMW-PE/UHMW being used for DH so much, because it is a slower material and its not crazy slick like Delrin is.

ya the other stuff is just to hold me over til jeff can make more. the gloves i got are so comfy though......i got them fo free too there was one pair with no price on it and so the guy just rung me up for the velcro and gave me the gloves. the green horns look so sexy

So I have recieved my Mudstones and my Blacktops and I love them both. I use them on fingerless Gravity gloves.

I find the Mudstones an absolute delight. My experience thus far is that they really are alot more glidey than the regular Delrin and are alot tougher too. I find it that I can take them on the more gravely asphalt around campus without worrying about gouges in the puck and quick wear. I have actually been using my mudstones so much that I haven't even touched the blacktops. I find the mudstones worth the investment and personally I like the smaller mudstone puck over the larger blacktop puck as far as comfort goes.

So up until now I have been shipping using USPS's small flat-rate priority mail boxes. $4.95 and one pair of gloves just barely fits in there (if I carefully arrange the pucks). I have just discovered their flat-rate mailing envelopes. For the same price, I can squeeze two pairs of gloves with full pucks in there!

So order with a buddy and save on shipping!

Velcro only on the pucks isn't a problem, I can get industrial strength very easily, I have some laying around the house. I think I'll email jmasta when I get the chance... I'd like to order today or tomorrow
