The velcro cuff on the Mechanix glove is very discrete. Its not big and bulky.... like, say, the Loaded gloves. They only go about an inch down your wrist past your palms. It's almost physically impossible to drag the cuff on the pavement. You would literally would have your forearm flat on the ground with your wrist bent back at no less than 90* for them to ever touch. Unless you've got some floppy wrists, I don't really see this happening

I have been using a pair of these gloves (with different pucks) for almost 6 months now. I mess up tons of slides, and never once has the cuff ever touched the ground. This is not a poor design by any means. The Mechanix gloves are very well designed..... they fit like no other. Try them and you will see

Just checking, as i said no offense!

It has just happened to me before, where I slid out and ended dragging the heal of my wrist and therefor ruined the velcro. My velcro strap is even smaller. However, the placement of yours might be better. Happy to hear yours won't have that problem.

My friend and I each have a set of Mud Stones on order. His current slide pucks are Black Velvets (palm + fingers) and mine are Darkspeeds (with Corian fingers). I can post impressions once I get my hands on the Mudslides.

I will be, I know what the results will be though. Delrin is slick and I have not made it stick yet (I am using Gravity delrin pucks atm). Usually to get a UHMW puck stick, I do some sort of 360, than get speed and do a 900 p/s. My Delrin stayed slick the entire run and I did two more 360's after the 900 because I had so much exit speed. My BV's are a lot stickier and are only used for DH/drifting because they're just better for that.

I am anxious to review the mudstones, i'll watchtower em, see how they do.

Postmaster said it'd take 5 - 10 days to get to Portugal. Hopefully they'll be there by Friday or Monday!

The real question is.... does it take longer to get to the UK or Portugal? it's a race
