Have you guys ever seen a YELLOW Kelly Carver 33? I've got one. I'm going to come up to Flexdex with Kai and show it to you guys. I love it (but I think I'd trade it for a Mantis ... ).

Earlier in the thread there was mention of the Flexdex material being too flexy for heavy weight skaters. I weigh 195 pounds. When I ride, my front foot is normally very far towards the front of the board--pretty much directly above the front truck. I use my back foot to flex and pump and drive the board, like the tail of a fish. In this way, I use my weight to my advantage. If I were to ride with both feet inside the truck, yeah, the flex might become unmanagable.

I'm not sure when, but I look forward to meeting you guys--and skating! I see this last batch of images you posted is from OB. I love soft wheel sliding with a help from the sand on the boardwalk.

what do you think of the flex of the rubber soul? i rode a S30 flexdex and could barely take the flex of the 170 pounds, are the wood boards better? do they have the same saggy flex as the board i rode or is it snappier?

WAy snappier flex on the wooden boards. completly different ride.

It's really too bad...I don't really see much love for the Classic 29 on here or on youtube, video-wise. I got my Classic 29 over a year ago, and am still loving it, though I need to get used to riding it again as I've been using the Gbomb to ride home from work. The C29's been seeing some life again for quick runs across campus for my lunch breaks. As sumemr's coming soon, I'll probably be able to mess around with this again...just need some ditches or banks around here. And I never see any of the Slalom 30v activity...
