hey man, any luck with the 350z trunk one? do you want me to send you the money in advance?
also if its too annoying to build, i could just take one of the standing racks if it would be possible to make it so it doesnt stand out from the wall more than 21 inches... ( is that even possible?, less of an angle as the one you have a pic of.) so just let me know if thats a possibility and a paypal account number to send ya the money.
well anyways, just let me know how that works out im looking forward to seeing my boards in a nice rack. and i dont mean my girlfriends. hahaha ( though that would be hot too. )

I am actually playing around with the trunk rack design. I made one out of scraps and I am waiting for my friend's 350 to show up over here. Hang tight. The template for the wall rack is pretty set. I will measure the depth with boards tonight and post back here for you.

thanks!
Sure. The base measurements for both are in this thread somewhere. Just not with boards on it. The slots are close to 5" deep IIRC. I will check tonight.
ok so i promised Camel i would upload pics of the shelf he made me once i got it painted. the shelf was made to be a leaning shelf but it ended up laying down in the back of my truck and it acctually fit perfect because of the angled edge that sits up against the seat back. not all those boards are mine. the short board, the neversummer, and the S9 Goddess are not mine. they are my friends. they all like to just keep their boards in my truck for some reason. HAHA. anyway....THANK YOU CAMEL!!!! the shelf is great and i had fun painting it and putting all my leftover stickers on it. lol. if you are going to buy a longboard rack/shelf this is the guy to get it from. he was really nice and flexable about the design. he even shipped it ALLLLLLLLL the way to Okinawa, Japan for me. good guy to deal with. ok thanks again Camel.
I love the access panels taken out to make that S9 fit. That's hilarious. Glad you are happy with it. Good choice of colors. I like the red/back paint job. And it does fit the truck as good as you said it does! BONUS!
yeah as soon as my nosewalker came in i was like CRAP....won't fit. so i took the panels out and i have to put it in nose of tail first into the panel but then it fits. haha. yeah i think it turned out great. ran out of black paint at the last minute. used a whole can on those 2 sides.

Yup. Plywood=PaintSuckage. The trick is to do a light spray of poly sealer first.
Ok, Ok, cut me some slack. I have a prototype built as small as I can for 2 standard setups. (Like a Derv and a Roe as requested.) My buddy with the Z will come by this coming weekend (since I owe him 400 bucks for new tires, sweet....). I will size it with the boards and take some pictures. But you won't see it til this weekend.
On top of that, I am traveling for work this week. Sucks...
If you want to see the sport utility trunk rack, take a look at Slops57 post above. Fits pretty nice.
im building a car storage rack for my camery that converts into a work station so that I can work on boards wherever i skate without getting them all banged up on the concrete. ill post pics when im done.
you know you're a longboarder when you put your longboard rack first after you move to a new apartment.
....ohshi-, wrong thread.
weird thing is, it looks like the rack is photoshopped to the wall...
