What trucks do you envision? 139? 150?
I've ran it with 150's and 180's, I haven't tried it out with anything smaller. Some Indy's might be nice too. Maybe some 169's. I think some Bennett would be killer on it.
It might even make a pretty nice slalom board. Maybe a good Tracker x/s combo?
Yes! The colors look so good. I'm going to have one set up sort of like a non-competitive slalom/pumping deck and the other is going to have freebord bindings and 180 trucks and It's going to be awesome.

Here are some pics of an Arcane Grover that TIMORNE set me. I sent him the board and it originally had a blem paint job that he dig a great job removing. I don't envy the time it must have taken! Here's what it looks like after he refinished it. I'm not sure what effect he used for the question mark but I dig it. His son has dubbed it The Riddler. Awesome job.
As am I. It's probably going to be a while till I see anything. I just ordered a Big Sir and Lil Fin. I am so stoked to have the dancer. I am going to set it up with RII 180's and some gumballs. Do you think I'll need risers?
Ive never had/ridden a short board before. I did when I was a kid and hated it. I was thinking about setting up the Lil Fin with Tracker RTS/X and some Lime ZigZags. Any other suggestions for the mini?

I have mine set up with Seismic 105mm 45º/30º and 66mm lime Zigs...its a riot

Could you describe it more? Is it like a surfy/smooth style or more of a tippy style of riding? If i remember correctly, I rode my friends independents on his shortboard and I found the ride very tippy and would buck me off easily. This is much different then what I feel now when I ride my Dervish or Pintail. It also maybe that I just know how to skate now.
Do you think the Seismics are worth the extra $10 per truck?

Nice picture. Do you have some risers on it?
I wouldn't call them tippy necessarily but they are twitchy or extremely sensitive to input. My Bennett 5's have a much smoother transition but aren't as turny as the Seismics. I have considered buying a set of Bennett 4.3's for the Fin then maybe playing with wedging/de-wedging to get it just right...but for now the Fin works pretty good with the Seismics. I will also say that the Seismics turn much more immediately than the Indy's that I have on my short boards. I find the best thing to do on the Fin is to do the whole session on it as opposed to swapping back and forth from my other boards...its easier to stay comfortable with its feel that way and then I can really get it ripping along. If I swap to my Crusher with the Bennetts or more so to my Flushcut then the Fin feels very twitchy indeed when I hop back on it.
I do have 1/4" risers on it, with 1/8" risers I was getting a bit of wheel bite.

I never put wheel wells on them because of the $25.00 price tag but I decided to start just for customer satisfaction. I think it will aid with the wheel bite issue a bit.

Just contact me here through PM or email me at austin@arcaneboards.net. I'm reworking that board, The Grover, right now. The new version will be 42"x10" tapered to 9.5" at the waist and back to 10". The concave will also be a tad bit different.
I'm going to try and have it available in a week or two.
