Brown bombers with black top palm pucks and greenhorn finger/thumb pucks.
I can honestly say these pucks completely blew my mind. The black top palm is amazingly smooth and wayyyy fast. But having the green fingerpucks helps me kinda control it a lot more and allows mr tovlean a little on my fingers and burn a lot of speed off. They are however still very fast. I really like having 3puks per hand rather than 2 (bvs, loaded) it's much more comfortable and allow me to grab rail with no worry that They might slide out. I took em out today for about an hour for some hardcore sliding and I see virtually no wear in any of the pucks an I am very satisfied well worth the 2 1/2 week wait..
As for the brown bomber gloves, they are alright. Comfortable. Haven't burned a whole thru them yet so that's a plus. The pull string is a little hard to use but it works I'm glad it's there. Overall I am very impressed with jeff's gloves and will definently stick behind him and support mud slide because these products are legit. 100times better than loaded pucks. Love the price and quality of these pucks and gloves btw if nobody noticed.
Btw. The pucks are HUGE compared to bv's. I love it
Thanks for the review! glad ya like your gloves

The first pair of gloves I made actually had velcro all over the surface of the palm. I found that the more velcro you use, the more mobility and comfort you lose in the gloves. Also, that industrial velcro is so strong, it's a real bitch to rotate your pucks! less is more! If you look at the Gravity or Loaded gloves, they do the same thing.
By the way, the velcro is positioned where your palm pucks should basically go. You don't really want your puck centered on the palm, but closer to your wrist. When you put your hand on the ground, almost all your weight is on the base of your hand/wrist (inline with your arm)

I just recieved my gloves yesterday and went out riding. They work great, but it started raining on my way home and the gloves got wet. The velcro for the palm pucks came off of the glove. Maybe you could use some glue or attach the velcro a bit better. I reglued the velcro on and they look great. You have made an excellent product and you gave great customer service.

Yeah the part that Is loose is the part where the thumb starts. But I see what your saying with mobility so I'm sure it'll be fine. Love the gloves! Haven't put a dent in the picks yet nor a hole in the gloves great job

well damn! I was afraid of that! The first round of gloves I sent out had a bead of hot glue around the edges of all the velcro. It worked well but was very time consuming
I actually tested the strength of the industrial velcro's glue quite a bit. After letting it sit for 24 hrs, I slapped a puck on and ripped it off about a hundred different times. I also tried to just peel off the velcro by hand, but to no avail. After all my tests, I assumed the extra glue was just overkill. I'm thinking water and sweat must mess with the glue. Thanks for addressing this issue!
Rest assured, all the gloves' velcro are now reinforced with a thick layer of "shoe goo" to make them fully bombproof. I've been testing them like crazy to make sure they hold up to the rigors of sliding before I send anymore gloves out. There's no way it's coming off now. This stuff is strong!
For the few other orders that don't have the hot glue around the edges, please PM if you have any problems with the velcro. If you don't have any glue around the house, I'll fix your gloves at no charge.

I haven't had time to work on the website in a few weeks. Luckily I just finished finals, so I'll have a lot more time to devote to this. I've been purposely delaying the launch of the site, until I get stocked up.
I also just moved out of my apartment. Now I have my parent's garage to work in... no longer do I have to make these in my kitchen, annoying the crap out of my neighbors! Finally I can cut pucks all night long (insomniac)

Well, lucky, I found this thread immediately when looking for slide glove info, and I think I'm sold. Will be getting some full Mechanix soon... dunno which pucks though, I've never used slide gloves before. Might also get some fingerless for my commute to school, I need a puck, rather than wearing leather gloves like I do now! (thick, hot, and are very worn)
thank you jamasta! u really made my day, i thought u had blown the entire website thing off. the only reason i havent purchased is beacuase i dint want to have to deal with the email thing. do you think it might be done in a week?

If you've never used slide gloves before, you'd probably be better off with the GreenHorns. They're cheaper and will last longer. Their slide is a bit more "controlled" and still plenty fast.
