I Thought Memorial Day was the 30th if so there is a DH race close. Also your not too far from Lansdowne skate park and that is a must if your in town.

I believe they are still opening at noon and closing at sundown. If you plan to go at noon you will be safe. You will need pads.

What is the downhill / garage scene like out there?

The DH scene is still in its infancy and growing. The Northern Virginia and Penn scenes are more mature and more numerous. The garage scene is popping if you know the right guides. The underground Street and Vert scenes are stong and have been so for 10 to 20 years. The great thing is that the political process is starting and these scenes are starting to surface. I think big things will be happening in Baltimore in the coming years for skaters.
