So, when do you think we should have the Push Race? Since it has pretty much been determined to be a Sunday I have included every Sunday up to and through August and the First in Septebmer for maximum choices.Multiple Choice so pick a second good day if you want. Let's see where it puts us.

Labor Day is September 7th so keep that in mind too.

I'm going to try to make it regardless but I think we could work that out. Although more people seem to want a later date. So far noone has said they cant make it for July 26 or Aug 16th. Any objections to either of those dates? Should probably ask in the other thread as well as many people might not be following this one since it was just meant to be a poll.

Well this poll only has 8 voters and it really sucks to set a date that someone on this thread can't make, however, we should look out for the greater good. The 26th would be too early. I have no objections with the 16th, but if a bunch of people say that they cant make that date then I think we'll just go ahead with the poll winner.

I'd like to have the date concrete by monday.

mikey, i already pitched my two cents in the other thread, i think we can do it!

if anything,and i rather not let this be an option. can we at least spring for the date, and be all end all if we cant pull through, postpone to the other day?

i see your reasoning but i think there will be enough time. I mean its only mid June, unless they are foreign countries things only need a week- two weeks tops and thats if they are in the west coast, that still gives us a little less than month to find sponsors. Plus I don't think we are going to need THAT many sponsors that it would take that long to get them all.

Thats true but things work at a slower pace when you aren't paying for things. Also I still need to find volunteers to record times and take pictures. I'd like to have time to have T-shirts made. We don't have a definite start/stop point. We don't have a definite date. We need to give people time, most of the people who are going to be competing don't even know the race exists yet and we need to allow some time to actually promote the race, get shops to hand out flyers, and let the message spread through word of mouth. The later we do it, the better in my opinion. If we rush this and theres not a good turnout, people won't want to come to the next one. Theres no reason this has to be so soon, and if we set it for before august, it will make everything more difficult.
