    Default sessions around pottstown pa

i own a skateshop in pottstown pa 45 minutes northwest of philly and am willing to sponsor skate sessions and let people use my shop as a meetingplace.
wanting to get longboarding started in this area and create a greater interest so we can someday have some contests locally.
i carry some longboards but need feedback from people who already ride them as to what brands to carry and what wheels/trucks i should stock
    thanks.... nate g

I'm hosting a DH race here in Central Pa (near State College,) if you would be interested in sponsoring, I could throw some of your info up on the fliers and whatnot. Email me if you are interested (jar5173@vzw.blackberry.net) You're welcome to come up to race or hang out as well.

Some musts for the skate shop in terms of Longboarding gear:

    To start out:

Stuff from companies with the best marketing/most sought after items, and most popularly used stuff:

    *Some Loaded Decks
    *Some Landyachtz Decks
    *NS Heist
    *Sector 9 Stuff
    *Bones Reds/Bones Swiss/Biltins etc.
*An array of Abec 11/Orangatang/Retro wheels to start
(probably only need like 3 sets of each if the scene isn't big there.)
*Maybe some Original Boards (satisfies some sought after merch.)
    *Paris and Randal 150mm/180mm
*Buy a couple of the Khiro bushings kits, and a bunch of Venoms.
*Long hardware and an array of angled risers/Bearing spacers etc. (you probably already have most of that stuff if you run a shortboard shop.)

You should have most of the stuff you need to start up. I recommend you get some decks for people to thrash around on to try them out so that you can keep most of the stuff new. Also, contact some small name companies that are trying to spread the word about their products (XVD, Nola, Nelson etc.) they might want to make some deals if you carry their stuff.

Good luck man. I really hope you succeed with all of your endeavors and I can really appreciate that you are spreading the stoke.

do you have hills selected, and tested? I'd be down to come check it out. We have some good, fast stuff in Harrisburg but we're a little short on the tech stuff. I'd like to up my skills(if that's possible at my age) and get a little more crazy.

Like Jar said, you should try to check out his race. It's a good way to meet people and get things rolling.
