Any skaters in or near Allentown Pa??
Haven't been on the Fish in a bit, but I'm back and looking for people to skate with. I've got some pretty sweet runs, some technical, some fast, some both. I did some searching around and found some old threads from people from the area, but the majority didn't seem to be very active on the site anymore. If you are in or near A-town PA please post or PM me, I wanna find some people to SKAAAAATE.

I'm getting a board for my birthday (sept 8th) and I'm from Quakertown which isn't to far away. I'd be more then happy to ride with you occasionally if I don't have work or school. I like bombing hills, but I'll leave it up to you since your more experienced. Let me know when your doing runs and I'll see if I can make it.
Ps. turning 18 so i can stay out till whenever on weekends.

Re: Any skaters in or near Allentown Pa??
I'm from the lehigh valley originally, but I go to school out in Pittsburgh...
Go down Main Road (east) from Rt. 100/29 in Shimerville, continue down road--it's ride able and good for cruising, if you want, but follow as it becomes Vera Cruz Rd., at end of Vera Cruz, you come to a T at a stop sign. Turn right. Follow road to top of hill, turn around and kill it. It's big and sorta intimidating at first, but it's not that fast, maybe 35 max...wear a helmet. Blind turn at end, easy to run off speed, no need to check speed...minimal traffic.
explore all around that area for roads--we've found lots of good ones, none that are spectacular, but I highly recommend that area--smooth road surface, minimal traffic, nice folks.
Also, back to Rt. 100/29 from this spot, go left on 100/29, follow about 1.5 miles or so, take a slight right onto Tollgate Rd. (if you see Nancy's Nursery garden center signs, you've gone too far)--follow Tollgate until you see a sign for "Victory Valley" Summer camp. At the split in the road, go right, bomb hill. Easy run off again.
When you go down this road continue until stop sign, continue straight over bridge and tight left turn. Follow Rd until first available right turn, road name unknown(--if you get back to rt 100/29 then you went silghtly too far)...once you make that right turn, again, take the first right hand turn and go up a big steep hill. The roads you see from there are awesome--undeveloped neighborhood. Most hills are easily rideable--they're intimidating, but slow, good for confidence building for beginners. Best to take a broom and check roadway to clear gravel. Beware of the biggest hill off to the left, trust me, you'll know it when you see it. There's one house at the top of the hill, the model house for the development, I think--the hill is ####### huge. You must have slide gloves and be able to slide confidently about half way down the first "summit"...it flattens out temporarily before the last part of the hill. It's fast as hell. be careful--check the road first...
All of these hills may seem intimidating, but they're really okay...don't ride beyond your level of ability, and always wear a helmet. I've hit quite a few tree branches--many of these spots are out in the woods...
good luck and enjoy...

Re: Any skaters in or near Allentown Pa??
Also I just ordered a new LBL board for christmas for myself, and I'm lookin to break it in... are any of you fellas ridin' between the 21st and january 4??
I know the weather might be miserable and the roads could be salty, but the weather is skateable out here in Pittsburgh, so I thought it might be okay back home...
Thanks guys-

All I wanted to do was ride skateboards - I wanted to be a professional skateboarder. But I had this problem. I kept breaking half of my body skateboarding. ~Travis Barker
