I was thinking about driving up from philly to skate this park. Anyone down?

There's a WHOLE bunch of longboarders, including myself, who skate it fairly frequently. It's a really really incredible place.

There's been a few threads about Lansdowne, but they've all been dead for awhile.

Hours are from 3 p.m. to dusk on weekdays, and noon to dusk weekends. It'll be closed if it rained that day or if it's wet at all, and probably if it's really cold or windy.

Making a trip to Lansdowne is kind of a gamble because you might get there and find it all locked up. Once you skate it it's totally worth it though.

Probably next saturday, weather permitting, or whenever theres good weather. Yeah dude, you could deff come along. I need to get my hands on some pads/helmet though.

After next weekend my weekends are pretty open though.

Each time I've gone I usually meet up with like 2 or 3 people, a few years ago there'd be these huge sessions though. A whole bunch of the Gravity guys would come out. We should plan one of those, it'd have to be a while from now though as to get the word out.

I'd just like to say again how unbelievable of a place that is.

we skated Lansdowne in the 80's. It was a ton of fun. Cruising it on a longboard might be really nice. Do you have to pay to play there now? It was total anarchy back in the day. I could almost be talked into cruising down there for a session sometime.

Yeah, it's awesome, it's actually mostly longboarders, which is crazy. They renovated it a few years back and in the process added more 'crete and fenced it in. It's free, but you need full pads and to sign a waiver.

Yeah if you mean tomorrow saturday, I MIGHT be down for it. I could try and do thanksgiving weekend, depends on what the family is doin because on thanksgiving I'll be in PA but I'm sure I can make it back for saturday. If people want a post sesh crash I MIGHT be able to help a couple people out, though I live an hour away and I don't know how much more or less out of the way it is for some of you.

I don't know if black friday or saturday would be easier. I'll ask my friends what they feel like taking a shot at. At least one of my friends seems to want to take a break from retail to go give thanks to concrete.

I'd be totally in favor of getting a nice group of people at landsdowne.
