Hey I'm from Pittsburgh, where do you ride? I go to Penn State, I am not here very much but I've been riding the past couple days and I'm riding the sickest spots every right now. Get in touch. Go pens.

I go to Swarthmore College outside of Philly, but am from Pittsburgh. I live in Oakland. I actually haven't ridden a lot in Pittsburgh. The roads around me are pretty shitty, although the larger wheels that I bought recently may make it a lot easier.

What type of riding do you do? I mainly just carve, commute, and been working on dancing.

when I was there I noticed that late at night, around 11ish, the streets are practically empty. In and around the UPitt campus its basically deserted on the streets. there are a lot of hills up there so its pretty much all good to ride.

yo I'm up in Pittsburgh all week. my hotel is right next to the Univ. of Pittsburgh in oakland

there's some nice lookin hills around. give me a holla if anyone wants to shred them with me

whats up guys, i'm gonna be a soph at duquesne university this fall so i'll be in pittsburgh come september. the city is relatively flat aside from the busier roads, but there's the jail trail that rides along the river leading from downtown into oakland (where Pitt is) right at schenley park. i havent explored much since i just started getting into longboarding this summer, but that trail is where i intend to start.

I can't believe how many crazy looking hills there are in PA. seems like there's a crazy slide hill around every turn. definitely need to do more riding next time I'm out there

pittsburgh is 90% downhill. go into downtown and look around at the hills, north, south, east and west. i live on top of the south hill and my street is a hill, this place is full of hills.

we have a longboarding crew on campus. If you're interested, facebook group carnegie mellon longboarders. We send out a notice before we head out.

Hell yes we do. I own a rayne hustler and a landyachtz dh race. Most of us here own a dervish/ vanguard. Some carry the spuds. So yeah, we do all kinds of longboarding. If the weather permits, we will go out this weekend. Really join the carnegie mellon longboarders on facebook. Or email me personally at randyka@cmu.edu

I'll be in Pittsburgh all next week for Thanksgiving break. Someone google map some 60mph hills and we'll go thrash em.

howbout schenley park? should be some decent asphalt there and maybe some good hills. been on my mind to get over there on a board and check it out. theres a golf course too but haven't seen anyone skate it.
