there's some good roads up in the mountains there, wherever they are. Was on tv... just look for the snow... i think they have snow this time of the year... 2 lanes, mountain pass roads
\"Come to the edge\" he said.
    They said, \"We are afraid\"
\"Come to the edge\" he said.
    They came.
    He pushed them...
    And they flew.

    Hiya Jimpa,

I was working in Turkey for a few months in 1997 and was based out of Antalya. I used to work for a charter airline helping out Pegasus Airways with an additional airplane from the U.S.

Anyway, we used to fly all over Turkey. I don't remember anything about Alanya... you sure it's not Antalya? IF IT IS....

There are some great golf courses there if you're into that. The beaches are very nice... and in fact there is a GREAT little restaurant right next to the beach, between two hotels. They have EXCELLENT traditional Turkish cuisine there for a GREAT LOW PRICE! Tip well and you will go far... and if you go shopping for stuff, get ready to Haggle for prices all day long. They live for that. Not in the department stores of course... but in the Bazaars.

Skating in Antalya, there are not too many places. Most of the roads are not very well taken care of, but there are places if you keep you're eyes open. There are a few slight hills around, but nothing to get impressed as hell about. The temperature should be in the high 60's to mid 70's F. IF you go to Ankara, the capital... there are alot more places to skate there. Don't get me wrong... Antalya is a very nice place and I would love to go visit again. Besides... the WOMEN were AWWWWEEESSSOOOMMMEEE buddy!

OH... Also, there were only 2 (TWO) types of beer that you could buy in Turkey back then. Efes and Efes Light (National Brand of Turkey). Remember though, this was back in 1997, so I'm sure things have changed some since then.
