Re: Southern Fried Cone Fest
Ashland Plaza is nice. It's right downtown. Right in the middle of the festival. Walking distance of Saturdays race hill. It's a little pricey. Although one year this was the hotel we got a deal on.
Last year Fairfield Inn was the one the organizers used but it wasn't cheap. Still a very nice place.
Myself and a few other skaters were at the Hampton Inn last year. It was nice. It close to the Fairfield. It's a short drive into downtown for the race on Saturday and an even shorter drive to the hill on Sunday. It's not far of I-64 and across the parking lot from a Wal-Mart.
I have stayed at the Days Inn and it was okay. A bit farther out and not as nice as the others I have mentioned.
I have considered the Knights Inn but it could be pretty ghetto. But I don't know for sure.
I need to get with Lenny and see if they have anything official picked out yet.
