Awww yea! Can't wait for this weekennnnd! What's the deadline for the roller derby tickets? I could be down for that. $11, right?
Check out the forecast!
hell yeah, that's awesome.
ok, tentative schedule is as follows-
Friday- Freeride, hairpin session, ramps (one with a wicked spiral). Meet at this gas station at 5pm:
1000 University Ave. S.E., Minneapolis, MN
I'm thinking alot of people (cough north dakotans cough) will be straggling in late, so I was thinking we'd keep things informal.
Saturday- DH practice runs starting at 9am, race at 10:00am. Most of you know the location, if you don't, we'll let you know at the friday freeride or pm me.
Slide/steezy hairpin drift comp at 5pm, meet at the same BP gas station.
Sunday - Push race around Lake Calhoun, meet at the main lake building, the one at
3000 Calhoun Pkwy,
Minneapolis, MN.
It has a big red roof. 10am.
Slalom at Dunwoody, 3pm.
818 Dunwoody Blvd
Minneapolis, MN 55403-1141
From Dunwoody Blvd, turn onto Aldrich and go up a block, it terminates right at the parking lot we skate at. Anyone under 18 needs a parental guardian to sign a waver.
ok, few other housekeeping issues-
the only safety gear that's going to be required will be a helmet with the exception of the DH- that will require slide gloves as well.
no entry fee.
if anyone has a push broom they can bring (or three), please post and let me know. If not, I'll suck it up and buy one, but then there's going to have to be a$20 entry fee
Yeah! so pumped Kenan! We'll be rolling in late for sure. Mostly my fault...actually...all of it is my fault. I have class until 330. So depending on what time we actually get out of here, we may be pushing 730-8pm.
We can also bring a broom or two.
ps. A buddy of ours is going to school for journalism and will be bringing an HD vid camera along!!!

hey, if i was PERCHANCE able to go on friday, would i be able to get a ride, and have a place to stay?
you guys should all go in on a room at the radisson in bloomington, it has a pretty rad indoor waterpark (waterpark of america) that has a surf machine. then we could do this after the day skating:

hmm, interesting. count me and the lady in for rollergirls, also am thinking hard about that welch gear swap - I do need (want) snowboard gear for the season... most importantly need new boots. not much info on the welch site- have you been to it other years?
just realized that there may be a possibility we could set a giant slalom near the hairpin... that would be alot of fun, and possible for people who don't have slalom setups to participate in.
