Default Where to get 1/8" baltic birch or maple plywood

Where do you guys get wood for building? The place I use (Rockler) doesn't carry 1/8" baltic birch anymore, and I need that or 1/8" maple to build my next board. All help is appreciated. Thanks

EDIT: I'm in the Twin Cities btw

I buy mine from my local lumber yard of all places........ and it is in the sticks!?

What kind of board are you gonna press?
    Length?
    Width?

I could maybe buy a 5' X 5' sheet, last price was 19$ plus tax, and rip it per your dimensions on my table saw and ship it to ya....... you pay freight.......

I also can provide fairly simple rough blanks........ you give some specifics, and i just press it.

I'm probably gonna make a drop deck, approx. 10" x 42" x 5/8". Where is this lumberyard you speak of?

My bad dude........ its in Michigan.........

A flat drop deck with concavity? Or a deck with raised ends etc.......

I'm pressing such a deck at the moment using 2 layers of 1/8" BB and 1 layer of 1/4" BB total 1/2" thick, 9" wide, 42" overall, 3/8" concavity with a 1/8" flat raised ends for the drop through plates. A mello speed board of sorts. Just using up what materials i have laying around.

if ya don't find any local supplier, PM me and i'll do what I can to get you BB blanks so you can press what ya like

I live in st. paul now (I go to Hamline) and was just doing some searching around myself for some 1/8th inch BB. I found a place!

    Siwek Lumber & Millwork
    2536 Marshall Ave NE
    6127813333

They told me they have 5x5 BB for $20 a sheet. Not bad price considering how hard it is to find around here.

That's actually an amazing deal. I was paying that much for 2'x4' sheets. Thanks very much for the find.

Don't know about online, but seriously, go use YoungBlood Lumber. I buy there. They're the real deal. I believe $21.50 for a 5x5 sheet.

It'd be way extra in shipping if you buy from online.

Youngblood Lumber is in Minneapolis. We buy all our BB from them and they deliver right to our shop in Eden Prairie for a very reasonable fee. That's a good deal since hauling 5'x5' sheets is a real pain.

Where in Winona are you getting it? I live in rochester and I have been looking for a place close to home to get some wood for pressing. Got some from Siwek, but what I got was kind of mildewy, so not entirely impressed. If there is nice stuff for cheap in Winona I would love to pick some up!

How much are you looking for? I'm in the twin cities and about to order a big batch of 1/8 BB from Youngblood Lumber. I'm headed up to Bayfield Wisconsin this weekend and could pass through Duluth on the way there or back if you want some already cut into 10" wide strips.
