Well I guess I don't need to worry about packing a board, but I still need something to
do at night.Maybe I need to start drinking again so I at least kick it in a bar.

Longboard shop in WI
Hey everyone, glad to see me and my roommates actually aren't the only longboarders in WI. I'm from the Green Bay are and there doesn't seem to be any decent longboard dealers in the area. A few of us were thinkin of tryin to open up a shop but we don't know if there would be any market for it. Everyone's always askin us about our boards when they see us riding, but I'm not sure if it's something that will catch on. Any thoughts?
Thanks

Talk to your local skate shop about longboarding and see if they know anything about it. Perhaps work with them to start carrying longboards rather than trying to open up your own shop.
Just an idea, and welcome to the fish!

PM Palidon11. We were gonna get together this weekend and bomb some hills in the Dodgeville area, but my plans changed. He might still be up for something though.

not really
except for the wiggle war, which you'll have to wait a whole year.

Re: Wisconsin Longboarders
I'm new to longboarding, anybody know of any good shops that sell completes in the Milwaukee area? I'm looking to take up longboarding, and I would like to test out different sizes if I were to happen to order online if I can't find any in shops.

im from racine, like 20 min south of milwaukee. and if your new you'd probly like a sector 9 they sell them at pretty much an zumiez. or in milwaukee i know theyve got phase 2 and modem 3, which both have longboards, and a better variety of them. normally i recommend sector 9 to people just startin out. ther pretty huge in the longboard world and have good prices on decent boards.

Re: Wisconsin Longboarders
if people are looking for spots, pretty much anything from la crosse on up to the twin cities along the Mississippi is pretty fantastic. It's real hilly along the river side, plus it's just a darn cool drive. The Wisconsin side of the river is better imo.

you should tell us what the rules are, that sounds like a fun trip.

Re: Wisconsin Longboarders
Devil's Lake State Park in Baraboo does not like skateboards. But there are loads of good hills in the area around the park. I've heard the rangers at Lapham Peak State Park (over by Milwaukee) are skateboard tolerant.
