I'm in La Crosse WI, right on the border between MN and WI. I know La Crescent, the MN town across the river has some nice mellow hills that just got repaved, as well as some hills that are f*ckin nuts. If you're gonna hit up that side of the state let me know.

I'm psyched to see some southern WI long boarders posting on this site. Especially ya'll from Madison. We've got our own private long boarding paradise just 30 miles outside of Madison in a little community called Mount Horeb. Its so choice that I hesitate to even put this out over the world wide web. If you want to come and experience the best that southern Wisconsin has to offer in fast descents that seem never ending, drop us a line and we'd be sure to show you around. Guaranteed you will not be disappointed.

Where the hell were you guys 4 months ago when I still lived in WI? I lived in Brookfield/Oconomowoc, and I knew a ton of great spots.

From what I understand, there is a group of riders who meet up every Sunday at Freedom (?) skateshop on state street. Also, Mangels runs a lot of Slalom out of Sun Prairie, and holds a race every June.

Don't be sorry for two reasons. Really really old bumps are fun. And look at how things have come from it.

Milwaukee longboarders I'll be in your town the week of November 5-9 and I'd like to find places to ride in the evenings.I'll be there for business during the day,but at night I need to ride.I'll go CRAZY if I just hang at the hotel.I don't know where I'll be staying yet,but if I could get tips on where to ride that'll be great.

YEAH! I've got to check out Mt Horeb this summer.

There are a lot of lonely two lane roads on big hills up in Sauk County too. I used to live in LaValle (back in the 70's) and had tons of fun there. I got back there a year ago and hit up some of the old spots. 30 years later and they are still the same! No traffic. Decent road surfaces. I plan on getting up there some more this summer.

Isn't the Lapham Peak (or whatever) right by you? I've never been there, but I heard there's some good times there.

    Lapham Peak, ftmfw.

Minimal traffic, .7 miles long, decent pavement...

Maybe a skate jam would be appropriate, aside from the Wiggle War.

Yes! I must expand my horizons beyond Sun Prairie. *sigh* It's snowing again. Spring seems so far away.
