Re: Michigan Longboarding!
Yeah Clarkston seems to be a decently hilly area. Spot I road in the past is pretty fast.
Hoping the weather will be as nice as last sunday!

Re: Michigan Longboarding!
just thought id say hey to everyone, i live in traverse and have been skating for about 2 years now. I started out on a sector 9 bamboo, and have moved on to a loaded vanguard. I feel like ive been learning kinda slow but ive been teaching myself, and as ive come to find out riding mongo and goofy makes tricks a million times harder than they should be. Anyways, LB season is right around the corner so maybe ill see some of you guys out there.

Theres some amazing DH, but road conditions can be ubber shitty, so you really have to watch out for potholes. leelanau county has some amazing spots too, and roads are a little better out there.

Gnarly if he did, somehow i seem skeptical. Too bad it's raining like a BITCH today, if it was dry it would have been the perfect day to get out and ride.

Re: Michigan Longboarding!
I'm so tempted to try to skate tonight, although i know all my gear will get TRASHED hardcore, and the two decks I want to skate right now haven't seen any real action, so i am still babying them

Ohhhh tempting. All i remember from Frankenmuth was the christmas store, and the fried chicken.....ohhhh that glorious fried chicken.....and fudge.... but i'd for sure be down to go hit it up, if nothing else just to eat. I feel like we'd get kicked out real fast, that town is way too touristy to be cool with us bombing the streets.

working on getting out there now. would love to do a push out there. on my skogging site, bottom right hand corner nav, I have a skog log I keep up to date. I'm staying in shape by simply laying out in public that what I doo is for realzz and people alll over the beach area where I skate see me nearly daily doing my workout routine and cheer me on.
I love downhill as well long-boarding as well. My deck design that I'm currently marketing is a longboard in short board format and this is attained by radded/de-radded trucks with wheel size displacements.
I learned how to ski at Boyne Mountain. Spent tons of time skiiing Sylvan Knob(Gaylord.. another place with killer hills) , anyone seen Bintz's Bump(Apple Mountain) there might be something there, good old Pine Knob(be a great place to put up a downhill skateboard park for the off season and keep them chairlifts going) and what about Caberfae??? that place has tons of hills too!
Yep Michigan rocks for hills

p.s. April is looking very possible for Saginaw Derby Downs and then September I'll be back too. My Bro in Bay City is getting married in April and what a good excuse to go back to my old town
Awesome. Yeah let us know if you plan on showing up for the MSU push race, if thats the case then I'll for sure be there to do some spectating.
