thats cool on the cars. Jay just told me that you told him we're meeting at the beek at 11. This right?
Yeah, we are meeting at the beek at 11am.

It would be awesome to set up more events for the weekend of April 17th. A Sunday Funday BBQ and slalom/slide/freeride would be killer. We have cones and I am sure someone in the metro Detroit area has timing equipment. Maybe Yandall can give us skogging lessons. Whatever happens, we all need to make it out to Bay City and skate with a legend!

I gotta be honest bloodbros...'Detroit' as your hometown sounds a lot tougher than 'Lathrup Village'.

Yandall- Sounds like a blast man. Sk8ings making its way from Cali to Michi? Crazyness. Although why do it on a Friday? I totally want to attend but have school+work on weekdays which makes Friday a no-go for me. Saturday or Sunday would be $ though, probably a bigger turnout and overall more time to skate maybe? Keep me posted though, I am for sure down to hit up some skogging around our lovely Detwa city.

    Keepin it real

Ok, I just moved from Michigan. Got here in sacramento, and decided to start longboarding. I haven't gotten a chance to get out and try it yet, but I'd just like to add that I didn't think of michigan being very optimal for longboarding.

I'm from the Bay City area, and spent a lot of my time in Saginaw. Used to almost live in the Banks area, and could the see the skate park form my window. Yes, Bay City is a big pub town. Most alcohol licenses per capita in the country or something like that.

I'd just like to know who's all familiar with that specific area. I used to do parkour all over the city, so maybe I've run into one of you.

Also, if you're in that area and you've seen the "knitting fairy" or what ever they're calling it on the front page of the paper, I know "who done it."

Do any of you guys have something to measure speed with? It'd be sweet to know what were hitting.

Yeah we'll see tomorrow. We're probably gonna get soaked but it'll be fun anyways. Me and the sis are packing bag lunches for maximum money saving ability.

I'm bringing the rain wheels too. I never use 'em but it might be worth it.

Well today ended up being a lot of fun. We're planning on going back again Wednesday or maybe even Tuesday. What do you guys think? If it's dry it'll be a lot more fun.

I flaked out on Saturday, the rain really demotivated me. According to the Weather Channel, it is supposed to be wet on Tuesday and Wednesday morning. Otherwise it is supposed to be dry and sunny. It's even supposed to be nice this weekend. Weekdays I work until 5, but I will probably go into work early on the nice days so I can leave early and ride. If you decide to head to Wabeek, shoot me a message.

Sounds good. Are you going to be doing any skating during the week?

In my hometown yeah, unless you've got some good spots to share.

Small World Story: Jason, my brother, heard about the beek from a local longboarder like I mentioned. Turns out it was Randelpink! ... as long as Randel=Ross.

Ross - Do you remember a guy named Jason? He's tall, dark hair, used to live in the Novi area... look at the GG video if it doesn't ring a bell. He said he rode with you a few times. When he heard Pete say the name Ross he was like ' wait you know Ross?'... 'Oh ####...he's the one that told me about this spot." Anyways, he told me to say hi and tell your a$$ to come rock the hill with us next time.

One more thing about Saturday, if you've got a broom feel free to bring it. I want to charge that golf path hard, and it's pretty sketchy currently.

Yeah the J man. Sick rider too, your his younger brother whose just as good too though right? We used to shred quite a bit, but I started veering towards hills in the opposite direction of him. I remember him telling me that you guys would go back and forth with learning tricks, calling each other on the phone and being like "baskside shovit nailed today, your turn!". Its really awesome riding with someone like that that pushes you to learn more and try new things. Later this week, we FO SHO all have to ride together. The beak is where we ride all the time, and I kinda pussed out when I saw the rain, but no more excuses!

    Another funny story:
3 years ago, the time I met both Jay and Alex, we were all in a sub hittin some hills. My buddy and I were trying to extend a run by looking at side streets to start on. We started to go down the street and as soon as we make the right turn onto the main drag, we are matched up by 2 other riders in full tucks and it became a 4 man battle to the bottom. After we were done we all stopped and introduced each other, and so met Alex and Jay. I still to this day have never even seen, let alone met, another longboarder on any runs. It was the craziest thing to ride, unintentionally, mid-run like that, crazy timing.
