Thanks for the offer. I might have to head out to MSU. I've got a buddy there who rides his board to class all the time. Livonia's pretty damn boring. :P

cool thanks guys, ill check those out. I found some neighborhoods across the river neat 23 business that were pretty sweet, low traffic, no ped problems, roads were a little sketchy though.

They did a write-up of the Chicago race on Slalomskateboarder.com... figured I'd share. Check it out. Slalom!

Another new Michigan guy here. I mostly ride in the East Lansing area, though I spend some time in Battle Creek, and hang out with that Midway freak (How you doing man?) in Livonia now and then.

Busy, busy ass week my friends.
Welcome back to the interwebz, to me.

I thought I was going to be able to make it tomorrow morning, but I was wrong.

Still very much looking forward to coming out to MSU or elsewhere to meet everyone at some point soon - my schedule is a completely different story once that little thing called college is out of the way.

Awesome... There are tons of us that ride around EL. Make sure you check out 'Madness in the Mitten' too. I'm to lazy to post a link but its in the forums/under events/titled: GGLB presents Madness in the Mitten. let me know if you can't find it. You'd end up meeting a ton of us all in one setting.

Great to find another person from EL. I'll post up some links:

Here is the link to the Push Race event we are holding in a little less than a month:

GGLB Presents: Madness In The Mitten Distance Race

And here is a link to our facebook page:

Also, where do you live and what are you riding?

I was thinking of doing a 100 mile barefoot skate this summer for charity, to raise money to buy shoes/boots for people who really need them. Unfortunately, I'm up in the UP where there's no long distance paved paths. Anyone know a good route I should check out downstate. I'm from Battle Creek so anything along the I-75 corridor would be great.

I've been talking to my buddies and we're thinking of just having a cruise around campus and select spots bonanza on the weekend of 5/1-5/3. Come one come all.

I would like to thank Mother Earth for the gigantic cockslap we received last night. In other news, the sidewalks are dry, and I found a relatively sweet bank to skate. Hecka yeah almost vertical skating.

Deja, you missed out on Saturday. Maybe next time?

Doors and I had a sick session and the weather couldn't have been better. I actually pulled off a couple nice pendy slides on the lemon freerides. They feel uber smooth now that they're broken in. I am so glad we were able to take advantage of the sun before Sunday puked on us.

trying to decide if i'm gonna skate tonight or not. Guess it depends if my deck(s) or wheels come

they turned out alright, and ride well, although we've got a lot of learning to do in the fiberglassing dept. The specs are kind of ripped off from the axe and gecko, but we're not selling these so i feel less guilty about Jay nabbing measurements. They're made of a cheap lightweight wood core with 2 layers of 'poor mans carbon' and a boatload of fiberglass.

Forgive my noobness, but is the advantage of these over an all wood deck is that they are lighter and stronger?
