Re: Michigan Longboarding!
Bought a drop deck board from the yerke brothers, then dropped it through myself. Anyone looking for an extremely well made badass board made right here in michigan, this is your board.
it's been raining, so i haven't really gotten a chance to push it hard DH, as a sidenote when i got the deck it was in perfect condition and finished beautifully. any damage or splintered wood was cause by my attempts to drop this board through (so i apologize for that) but post tits or gtfo as they say.
ladies and gentleman, the juke:
boom, peep that sweet ass finish, i've seen some other colors and they look equally sweet

the top with the drop through

perfect concave, so sexy

the drop area (note that i had to move the trucks back to fit the dropthrough, thus the uneven truck mounting. when drilled in the correct holes the trucks sit perfectly flat against the bottom of the board)

how far back i choose to redrill to make my dropthrough work (in retrospect a little too far back, but i just choose to put the slits for the dumbass randal drop where the inside holes were drilled, still made it work)

ground clearence and wheelbite closeness with 83mm wheels (again this is dropthrough and with the mounting holes moved in, and the 83mm STILL don't bite. this deck can run huge wheels topmounted and still be fine)

finish it up with a nose and profile shot

Re: Michigan Longboarding!
I didn't read all 85 pages, so apologize if it's been covered already. Just recently (Oct.) bought a couple acres, & immediately started planning for a half or large mini, but now somewhat idly contemplating a backyard bowl. Any one know of any companies or crews in Michigan that would build such a thing? Any idea of cost compared to wooden ramp? perhaps a wood bowl? Anywhoo it's winter & I'm just weighing options.
Thanks. . .

Re: Michigan Longboarding!
Mike and i are skating the beek tomorow, supposed to get a little snow tonight so we will see. If nothing else the garage in Birmingham is rather fast for garages, if you bomb it footbraking or predrifts are actually needed

check the "local chaos" forum........
They have some wicked "mini ramps" and can put you in contact with some locals that might be able to hook you up

Re: Michigan Longboarding!
Thanks for the replies, hot damn! a wooden snake run would be sweet! I'll probably go for a large ish mini, seems like that would be the most fun per dollar, I do love mini's. I'll check out the local chaos forums too. Anyone who wants to help, I can offer free lodging in a mobile on the property, & beer. I'm up near Petoskey
