Yeah I have heard similar things regarding the Evos, but I wasn't so sure about buying a drop through. I'll probably end up with the drop through anyway, I was just looking to save some money.

Nice! I know kyle_vk has one, maybe he'll chime in. It's still seriously dropped but at least it's symmetrical.

Haha I just posted in a forum that he has replied to. Yeah the symmetry really did it for me. I feel like I wouldn't be too big a fan of a board like the evo with the forward stance. Also, the switch is more of an all around board, doing some sliding as well as a little downhill.

Are you referring to how deep the concave is? I have ridden boards with deep concave and I've found that more concave makes it easier to control. Like with flatter boards it takes more effort to control the board then when the board forms upwards around your foot.

Yea its supposed to really lock you in, i prefer a little more mellow concave like inbetween a comet or rayne... but really its all preference, gnarly griptape really makes a difference though

    CHIME IN TIME

i can't remember what i told you (graham) about those boards but i have the switch and the evo and i really like them both. but take that with a grain of salt since i had to evo first and use that for dh - accordingly i haven't taken the switch up to any notable speeds but i would imagine with the proper set up it would also be a very stable board at at speed. i do like the drop on the switch and the "gnar bars", it fit my stance perfectly which helps but they really give you that extra locked in feeling. definately a good all around board and built solid enough to take all the abuse you'll likely throw at it

Yeah that's really what I'm looking for. I liked the Evo for it's stance and performance, but I decided I would get more use out of an all-around board. I plan on riding slides etc. Downhill is something I might dabble in, but I can get a taste of it on the Switch, withough sacraficing the all-around qualities.
I'm hooked on the switch, and I'll probably be buying in under a month.

GUFF MCGUFFERSON AND PHIL! Haha I just showed that video to my coworkers. Such a great watch. I stepped on it and it was huuuuuge, for me of course (I don't own a board bigger than 38", unless you count my Nemesis that's incoming.) The concave was typical LY concave. Don't second guess yourself, this board is certainly a speedboard that can hold it's own going really fast, I just wouldn't suggest railing super hard turns without expecting to drift.

Hey Graham if you want a Nemesis instead I'm probably going to sell the Nemesis I haven't even received yet. It's 39" and has 1" of drop vs. Landyachtz's 1.75" drop, which is complete overkill IMO. And the Nemesis is a better all arounder IMO. Selling local is rad, so let me know if you want it before I hit the classifieds.

It really is a good board, but I just <3 topmounts too much. That, and I hate Rayne on principle. The thing is, it really is a sick board for bombing and sliding and commuting on. It's a great board that isn't too overkill in any department.

And I'm not sure what you're talking about on Facebook. I don't get notifications anymore (thx fb) so whatcha mean? And did you end up Google Earthing that run?

i agree, i might actually be getting some paris 195s for mine soon. haha i sent graham a freind request.

The run looked pretty good, kinda hard to tell but ther was definetly some change in elevation. The thing that seems the most aswesome is how issolated it is

Exactly. It's not super steep, and ends in a stop sign, but you have plenty of time to bust some slides and/or footbrakes by then.
