honestly i don't know...this is my first summer of longboarding. but i was thinking of getting a few guys i know that longboard and have them show me the ropes cuz there's a LOT of guys from my hometown that go to grand haven solely for the hotdogs and skating
i will be on this coast for a while I think. Maybe we could put something together. I know a couple spots in the GR area and have been to at least 2 in grand haven. Grand Haven is a fun beach town in the summer too and around spring it's pretty windy. I'd like to get into some kind of wind boarding, either on or off the water

Re: Michigan Longboarding!
dude my roommate works for mackinac kite company and is in grand haven every once and a while...we could have a major longboard/kiteboard/ sesh in grand haven some weekend
yahh....thatd be sweet. Ocian are the hills there that you know of good for downhill like speeds over 40? im really wanting some fast speeds right about now caus eim getting more into downhillin. whatever city its in should be chill longboard acceptible but with large hills. i keep hearing about sweet hills in the coast. but yahh there should be some moderate to gnarley hills..

Re: Michigan Longboarding!
yeah i gotta get out and practice bombing some hills here...haha, between the classes and dorms here we got about a 1000 foot hill that's on about a 15 degree angle...plus it's really curvy and usually packed with people...but yeah, i should really hit that hill up around 7 at night after everybody's gone, and while it's still light out, for some great practice
ocian wanted me to name dates so im thinking sauterday june 9th 2007.....maybe noon through whatever time at night.. if its gonna be in grand rapids or whatever though someone else needs to name the spots and stuff cause im not fimiliar with the area....
there are many fast hills ska, the problem is that they are pretty dangerous unless we did like a 1am thing. They are well lit enough, but they have many intersections. There are also a couple of places that I've spotted but never actually got a chance to ride. I don't know about breaking 40 mph though, except maybe briefly. It's a lot faster than you think
ok...any hills that arnt too traffic filled?
i AM going to come up with dates and stuff cause ill have my friends that drive..longboarding by then so yeah...it should be like a downhill and sliding sesh kinda thing ya know?
