    Default Minnesota Longboarders?

Just got into longboarding! Got a Bustin Board I "carve" on the hardwood floors in my house. Already found the Adams' videos etc...but am running out. You can only watch the challenge videos so often. I love the whole longboarding vibe. It's like skating used to be back in the day. I'm so glad to have discovered skating again!!

I'm pondering some parking garages downtown Minneapolis, and am wondering if there are any Minnesota skaters here. Any winter survival tips?

    Thanks,

    Thako

Small group of longboarders here. I didn't manage to hook up with anyone this summer, but I ride my neighborhood and a certain undisclosed ramp from time to time. Winter is a tough time to be a boarder here, no doubt. Indoor skate park on 394 and Louisiana in St Louis Park - 3rd Lair. I'm not much of a pool skater, mostly gravity fed.
Skate 'em if you got 'em,

the likeliness of longboarding in the winter is very very low. I am also a parking garage skater and with people coming in and obviously driving in there it brings in the snow and ice crap which makes for shitty skating.

ive already got the itch for some dry pavement

i have cousins out in Plymouth, Minnesota, and by going by what they tell me of winter weather, good luck with that. I know how you feel, being in NYC, and it snows, and rains some in the winter also, and has you itchin for the dry pavement. Good Choice on skating garages though.

My solution to MN winters: boarding inside my college. If someone tells you to get off the board, go up one level then hop back on. After 11pm, the only people in the halls are janitors so it's all open area 8)
