If it's spring and you could add a 17% grade, I'd be interested.

Not sure how much grade I could add to the hill there, Bill. I'll see what I can do.

Maybe I should clarify. Didn't mean adding grade to the hill. Meant if you could add a hill with 17% grade (or greater) to the day's events/tour.

I know I would make the trip down from indianapolis, and I'm sure that my buddys from michigan will make the trip as well too. We'd be down for slalom AND downhill, so just let us know

Just keep watching this thread and I'll let you know when and if anything happens.
Soon should be the time for Sunday slalom and downhill sessions again.

I checked my slalom hill yesterday. Lots of dumping has been going on. Only one dump pile that is in the way of my skating.
Unless I find a better location I think I might do a race on this road. Either single lane jam format like last time. If I can close the road? dual lane for sure. Maybe try running two races that day. Tight and Hybrid. The hybrid course will get fast. I can tell you that right now. That hill gets steep right before you get to the bottom. You really pour on the speed in that section.
    Stay tuned.
I'm thinking one day in July. Texas has the Sizzler. I'll have the Kentucky Cooker.

+1 to Tags. I'd be more than happy to trek to Kentucky. And the Kentucky Cooker sounds off the hook.

Now, short term plans time. Tags, Dr. Dadavildy and I are looking to road trip from 3/7-3/14 and we're looking for a place that's relatively close to MI/IN, but warm. Sniffless, down on showing some Midwesterners a good time?

If you don't mind hanging with an old fart like me. I'm really only free on the weekends though.
I got some hills, a nice slalom spot and we have the skate park. Pics of all but the skate park can be found in this thread.

There should be some slalom and downhill sessions coming up on the weekends in March as weather allows. Time to get ready for the racing season. Watch here for more info as it becomes known.

wow that is messed up but kind of neat looking. the fingers don't always do what I say....

So I was saying. Weather permitting I think a little slalom followed by some downhill is in order next weekend. Either Sat the 7 or Sun the 8. Which ever day is warmer and it isn't raining or snowing or we're being attacked by giant crab monsters from outer space. Anyway I'm skating and any that are interested are welcome and invited to join me. Just let me know.

All around Cherokee park and the neighborhoods around the zoo for starters. Lots of good and big hills around there.

Hey! I am from right across the river in floyds knobs,IN and if you are looking for a wicked fast DH try spickert knob rd. (google it!! its worth it)...Its about as close to a mountain road as indiana can come...about 2 miles of constant hill if not longer...and its good pavement!! Not for the faint of heart though...its beast if you start from the top. I had a car follow and hit 42mph standing up on the last 2 straights!!
I am currently up at purdue, but if anyone wants to ride it...its worth the (short) ten minutes north of louisville on I-64w

    Spickert Knob:
    Length:1.1 miles (feels longer...lol)
Course condition: Steep at top, very fast and some deep curves (well banked i might add) throughout the wooded section, large steep hill to lead out of wooded section and large hill after a straight
Road condition: Asphalt...all nice and smooth...good steep road bank in the tighter turns
Traffic: Medium after work hours from about 5-8pm...and medium during lunch...any other time and its basically empty!!

Thanks so much for the heads up. I'm in Cinci and would love to run it. I go down and skate with Sniffeless quite a bit, he's in Louisville. Will google it and air it out soon. Appreciate the hookup. If you make it that way again soon, gimme a shout. We'll air it out!

I'll have to scope that out this weekend. There are a few others over that way I've been meaning to ride.
