Re: Louisville Slalom and Downhill KY
So Huntz you still out there?
Next time we hit Iroquois you'll have to come. It's a mellow hill but long. You get a good ride in. Just ask Spider.
Although next time I'd like to hit up the hill over by 'Rush's mom's house. Another long cruise hill. You get going a bit faster on this one. Great ride without getting into anything nuts.
I need to get back out on some faster hills and get my sliding skills back. Over by Cherokee Park and the neighborhoods by the zoo there are some faster hills but you need to know your slides for stopping and speed control.
Over in Corydon, IN there are some nice looking hills that need to be checked out. There is a big one you can see from the interstate that is going to rock. It looks fast with a nice right hand turn in it. Not technical or very hard turn but your gonna have to commit to it.
One day I'm going to have to do Seatonville Rd. That hill is technical and should be fast. Two hard turns. One is in the middle during the steepest part of the run. I've let my skills slide and there is no way I can make that run now. That's why we have training. It's good to have a goal.
I still think the parking lot of Slugger Field would be a great place to set up cones and run sosme slalom. That will have to be done soon as the weather warms again.
My hill that needs sweeping got covered in dirt and hay again. But when the time is right we clean it and skate it again. Great for slalom but overall just a mellow little hill.
Race season starts up real soon. In fact they just ran an outlaw race over in NC just today. So it's time to get in shape and build up the nerves.
Lets see some more chatter here and spread the stoke. Time to get Louisville skating.
