I'm looking. You know I'm always looking.

That looks like a sweet spot. I have to see if I can get the wife into the idea of heading down that way. She can hang out with the family at the lake and I can head over and kill myself on your hills. Just don't get me arrested or fined. I can't afford the fine or to do the time.

I've got to get with WhataRush and set up a ride. I'll post up details and anyone is welcome to come and join in.

Come on down. It's a bit hot now.

The law probably won't toss you in jail. But there is a nasty fine for riding a skateboard in the city limits. Sunday dawn patrol (6:00 am - 8:00 am) is usually a low encounter time.

Or we could put you on one of my street mountainboards. The Police don't seem to have an interest in / hatred for the mountainboards yet.

After Labor Day, there is a new run I would like to try down by the lakes. We would be poaching but I think the barricades will make it a traffic/car free ride.

I'd love to take one of your mountainboards for a spin. If I hadn't been jonesen to ride those new trucks I had just got the day before I would have taken one of yours for a spin the day you were up.

Next time I'm down that way I'll let you know. Gas prices being what they are right now who knows when that could be.

Just let me know if you're in the area. And I'll air up the wheels for a magic carpet ride.

If I can weasel out of my "Honey Do" list I hope to get some skating in on Sunday.
Downhill at Long Run, Slalom at Bridgemore and maybe hit the park for a little bowl action. Maybe a little downhill over by the zoo too. No promises but I'm going to try.

I'd love to come down, but I have some drumming commitments that are going to tie me up. Hopefully sometime soon tho. Your Long Run Park is awesome Sniff.

The wife is on my back to do some more work around the house. If I get to get out and skate at all it'll be after I finish up all my "chores". But I'm determined to skate.

    Edit:
Skateboarding this weekend looking in doubt. The patio furniture is looking better thanks to many cans of spray paint and my diligent labor.

    Matt. Call me.

If the wife doesn't put me to work (and she might), I am thinking about doing some skating on the weekend after 4th of July weekend. Out and about around Louisville. Downhill, slalom and maybe some park. Hit up the east end spots and do the Long Run Park loop.

Looks like there will be some slalom and downhill riding going on this weekend.
So heads up and an open invite to any that want to ride.

Edit: We ride on Saturday. Slalom at Bridgemore and some downhill at Long Run and other hills around town.

Everybody missed out. Todays ride was awesome.
We started with some slalom. A nice little head to head TS. Fun.
Then we ran the loop at Long Run. That was fun. Then we did the two downhill runs over and over there at Long Run. That kicked butt!
Then more slalom. A nice hybrid. Well the start is straight up GS that ended up going into an uphill tight course. Tough to hang on but oh so much fun.
    Great day.
I'm tell everyone. Next time I go out you guys need to go. That goes for anyone that reads this thread.

WHO WANTS TO RIDE THIS WEEKEND?

Any takers? I have an itch that needs scratching and that scratch would be Long Run Park.
Also some slalom will be had.

    Sniff,

Check it out. You know that Roe Crossfire 3.8. I put a composite Seismic 45* 159front ,wedged a little, with red springs on it. Backed it up with a yellow/yellow khiro Indy rear, dewedged a bit. Just came in from a slammin' little sesh. That thing gets it! Think I'm gonna add another shorter wheelbase. Shortest right now is 26.5.

Unfortunately, I'm not gonna be able to make it down this weekend. Got a wedding on Saturday night. We will get it goin' again soon though. You're gonna have to make it up here one of these days my friend. Talk to you soon.

My weekend plans just went all up in the air. I have no idea what my weekend is going to be like. Mrs. Sniff is still sick and on meds for that. She was going out of town but now is not. She's talking drive in movies. Not sure what this means to my skate plans but I have a feeling it means something.

I find myself looking at all kinds of new downhill boards now. Thanks for that, Bobby. Like I have money. Now I have to start selling stuff. Anyone want to buy a Dreggs Alpine deck?

Whatya think of the Roe settup? After riding those Bennetts of yours, I wanted to put something really different, but very functional together. I think I've done that. Especially with those Seismics. The composite ones are hard to find. This is the only settup I have with seismics. I like it.

That's not a bad set up at all. Sounds like fun. I bet it pumps great.
Be careful of those composite Seismics. They don't last as well as the regular ones. I have a nice cruiser with Seismics on it. 30/45 combo 180mm. It's a fun ride.

Those Bennetts will change you. You should try the Originals. Like the Bennetts only more so X infinity. I love my Bennetts. I can just surf the roads on my boards that I have those set up on. You didn't even get to try the Mummy. The Bennett set up on those are even crazier. That board will change you for sure. I had wondered what effect riding that Grasshopper board of mine would have on you. You just need some Bennetts.

Thumbs up Re: Louisville Slalom and Downhill KY

My first real board was a Fibreflex with Hijackers and Road Rider 4s. I still have those trucks, plastic baseplates and all! Needless to say, my relationship with Bennett trucks goes way back. Have some minty 4.3s and a collection of vintage ones, but no 6.0s 7s. Have to take another stab at setting some up. Between us, there are alot of possabilities for cool settups.

PS I have tons of Seismic trucks and springs

The house across the street from me just hit the market. Also there is a house for rent over by one of the hills I skate after work.
Who wants to live by me? Anyone? Anyone?

So it looks like I get to work Saturdays for the next month. Well I should be able to afford that board I want a lot sooner than I thought.

Does this mean your Sundays are harder to free up?

Have you seen all of the recent race results-- Morrow Bay and Hood? Where can I find them? My obvious searches find nada.

Maybe this has been mentioned before but I just realized it.
Is KY Jelly from Kentucky or what does the name mean? How do you feel about it? What is KY downhill?
