Default Louisville Slalom and Downhill KY

Here is your contact point for longboarding in the Louisville, KY area.

I ride slalom most sundays and I'm always looking for new spots for downhill and cruising.
Anyone interested in trying slalom can contact me. I have spare boards to try and a few good spots to set up cones. I've got cones too.

Oh shut up.
We just have to get our work schedules worked out. Let me know when you have a weekend free and we'll skate.

I've got some new slalom spots and a few prospects.

I need to hit up some downhill again.

Okay. Looks like saturday has the best weather chance for skating. I'll grab the cones and some boards and we'll skate.

Anyone else down?

Default Re: Louisville Slalom and Downhill KY

Finally skated this new hill I have had my eye on. It's still a bit dirty. Cleaner that it has been. It's in a new subdivision someone is trying to develope. No houses. Just new streets. As they finish the land work the dirt situation should improve. Once the road cleans thuroughly it will be great for slalom. Can't wait until it's clean. My ride on it today was good. The sand and dirt made turns a little drifty and scary. An easy cruise down it got me up to a good speed. Lots of run out and spots to shed speed before getting to the end. Not that I wish a recession on us but if one were to happen that might halt any prospects of houses going up on this subdivision. That would give me a chance to clean that road up and host some contests or just skate that hill when ever I wanted.

You're always invited, spider. Keep watching here and I'll try to keep updating my riding schedule.
Weather permitting I try to atleast ride every sunday.
There are only a few of us so far but the group is growing. slowly. I know there are more longboarders here in Louisville. One even wrote a letter to Concrete Wave. I've been trying to learn who that was.

Sweet! A Nashville connection is always good.
There are a couple guys that post on StateTN.com that do a little slalom around Nashville. Watch their forum for ride info.

Hey confusious, weren't you at Dixie Cup?

Next good weekend I'm riding. I'll try to do a shout out before hand.

Okay I need volunteers for a sweep party.
I've got a good hill of sorts in a new subdivision with no houses or thru roads. Great spot for slalom, sliding or just a mellow carve. The only problem is the road has a sheen of sand on it making traction imposible. An after noon with a few guys and some push brooms could yield a great skatespot. Sometimes you have to put in some work for a great spot.

I think we can pick up a bunch in front of the Home Depot!

that is so wrong.

I'm about ready to sweep that road by myself.
I read that new housing construction is slowing. Maybe that means no houses will go up and we'll be able to have that street for a while .One can only hope.
