Attention!!! To All Who Are Planning On Attending Attack The Trail...
The event might be moved to lake shore drive downtown... ONLY in the event that the park district refuses to give us the permit. Please keep the event in mind but no matter what, weather in chicago or at the woods trail the event will happen and will be chicago's own labomba (adam colton's joy ride)... Peace

I personally think that you would have a larger turn out if it was held in the city. Thats just my two cents, I'll be there either way.

I really like the I dea of doing it in the city to... mostly because I'd love to make this event as free as possible (minus dollar dogs.).... Got any ideas where exactly we should start and end at.
Busse woods might be a good option. The permit fee is nominal, I believe, and there are trails galore. It's also close to the highway. Doesn't have the same urban feel, but might be worth looking into.
The lake shore la bomba will be on sun june 15th starting at lake shore drive and monroe and end at the oak street beach...
Totally board skate shop in lagrange is helping out with the tee shirts.
Cost: $5.00 (send w/shirt size)
send check to 3414 prairie ave. brookfield IL 60513
that will cover food, entrance fee and gift bag (tee-shirt, stickers, etc.)
any questions, let me know.
the event will be posted on the events page of silverfish later tonight.
You should try and contact cfav over at Chi ILL as a sponsor. Home
Any other information on sponsors and organizing? Possibly a seperate website for it to gain more attention?

i just signed up today, sounds like fun. i'm just gonna pay with cash the day of the event.
i haven't browsed these forums regularly for a while, but i'm gonna try to again since the weather will (hopefully) be nicer soon.
i'm currently going to depaul university for school and i live in an apartment just off campus on lincoln ave. if anyone in this thread lives near there i'm down to skate this week 'cause i'm on spring break.
i'd also like to offer my help in getting word out about this. i know i've seen some longboards around here, even saw a landyachtz before. i'm thinking i could post flyers around campus when the date of the event gets closer. i sort of know my way around photoshop and may also be able to help design a flyer, i've done so before when i worked on the school newspaper.
anyway, if i can be of help let me know. i'll be trying to check this thread at least once daily
anybody looking to possibly car pool or convoy from Northwest Illinois? with gas prices as they are (and will be) I'd be able to either pitch gas money to someone with room (might be me and a friend or two) or else we might be able to squeeze in two or three people for the journey. All of my friends and I are chill and super easy to get along with so no worries there. PM me if you've got space or are looking for a ride.
Also thinking about hopping the train in Harvard and riding it into Chicago. Anybody know the train stops/ metro (dunno if that's the right part of chicago) to get to this?
