There is a race and a slide school/jam happening in Toronto, Canada at the end of April. There are also a number of DH outlaws in the works for thespring/summer/fall. I'll post em here as more info becomes available.

    Thumbs up Re: 08 Michigan

okay okay so i sucked it up and after my long day i decided it check some flags for wind direction...........

the wind was gusting from the west and sometimes the north, PERFECT for POMONA

I parked at the court at the bottom of the first hill......... was spent so i just put my lid and gloves on........ just gonna check it out and do some mellow carves..........

While walking up these 2 cats come down the hills on flip-twigz.......... all sketchy........ no safety gear what so ever

    They make it

then while i'm almost to the top another dude comes railing i mean railing by......... then his bro is doggin it flapping his foot to stay slow...........

I'm scoping out this punk nearing the bottom of the hill............ yes major speed wobble! He tries to run it off his feet hit a couple of times, then he flies, hits, flips, flies, hits, sliiiiiiiiides to a brutale stop all wadded up, scampers to the grass and gets all fetal like rolling around...........

I decide to take it kinda mellow, but the wind is scorching down hill by this time his bro his looking at him.......... both twigz in the middle of the street. I carve some but its sooooooooo fast i rail at the end cutting between the decks.......... while checking out the fliptwiglies........ they are in awe

I roll back up to check them out ya know just to make sure he is not suffering from a head injury, the kid has huuuuuuuge rash on both shoulders, both forearms, pebbles in his hands, one knee is bleeding pretty good.............. he says "it just stings a bit":o they claim to live up the street ( yeah right sure ya do boy)....... I decide to fully gear up for some much faster runs.

Pad daddy fo sho here.......... I let rip for a few runs until their buddies picked them up and drove off...... I did encounter some speed wobbles myself but did the relaxe, weight over front truck, and throw in a tiny carve and all was well. I only had to push 4-5 times at the top for fear of waaaaaaaay to much speed for my bushings...... last time out i could push 7-8 times easy and was fine. hitting the same speeds as the GGL crew. With the tail wind a true DH board would have been killer.

Man it was double points to show up and ride even when my stoke was about burnt to a crisp, Killer tail wind, killer crash. I only wish i had video of it all, it was perfect YouTube material

dance to the northwest wind gods for the next Pomona session this saturday at 2pm8)

Hey everyone, I'm new here, I live in the northern lower pen., right by Traverse City. Tons of sick hills in the area, I encourage everyone to try and make a trip up here!

i just got back from michigan yesterday. my bro lives up near the thumb area.

looks like i'll be cruising more there in the upcoming year.

it would be neat to throw together a downhill longboard sliding contest... i'd like to help put something together. somethng like the mid-michigan downhill races. i have skate mfg's all over me one of them is the sk8kings axe team.

i spent over 10 years in various parts of michigan growing up. my bro works for dow chemical in midland...

    who want's to hook up?
