WOO! nice little DH run in marquette!
road conditions to rival those of barrett junction in CA...so much sand and potholes, should be fun! probably .75 miles, 25-30mph sustained speed. PM me if you want details (i really, really don't wanna post the location cuz of peoples habits of getting good spots busted up here...and the insanely large number of cops)

or better yet, come on UP and i'll show ya first hand!

I found a few more mellow carving hills for novice riders today............. they are best with a south/southwest wind. About 1.5 miles north of Pomona......... Huge houses no traffic...... even mellow kids can ride these hills...... Nothing huge and fast. One street could be .25 miles long with proper wind........

so April 2nd looks decent for a long term forecast for weather.......

    is a
picture of the DH spot up here...i got a video on my phone, but youtube won't upload it...

from where the picture is taken, there's right-left-right sweepers, then a tight left-hander quickly onto a right-hander over a bridge...and that's it. then behind where the picture was, there's a downhill straight, into a right-hand sweeper.

what do you need dry roads for?

This set of rain wheels is long gone, but they were great. I've got zig-zags now with similar grooves, and they're really sticky and predictable on wet roads.

Finally got the slalom deck together this past week and I think we should get a little slalom comp going sometime this summer. I'm no pro but I know a couple guys around GH who like setting up some cones for a while, then hitting up some dh runs. Almost done with school for the semester and skating west MI all summer.
