    ska/doors-

checked out the hills, they're actually more in west bloomfield. Beautifully smooth pavement, one is probably a 1/2 mile run pushing 35-40 with a tailwind.

I'll take you guys to these hills some time, but i'm not posting them publicly and I really don't want to send anyone to "blow them out". The cops were cool with us today though.

    Hey all in MI.

I just ordered my first long board and I'm really excited. Can any one tell me what the best streets in Ann Arbor are to long board on? I'm a complete newbie so I want to start out easy.

Also are there any long boarding groups in AA?

    No crews in A2........

I head there some, mostly up to Pomona and surrounding streets just north west of Miller and Seventh street.

nice long smooth streets, low traffic, if your polite to the car drivers and residents its totally chill

yes, an uber-grippy, square-lipped slalom wheel IS the best for sliding

haha yeah...we've got next to no scene up here. me and the owner of presque longboards are the only longboarders i know of that improve our stock setups, do serious dh (or sliding or slalom...and he's really not into sliding or slal just yet), and know every detail about the parts of our setup. quite literally everybody else is into it just for fashion or transportation

I have 1-2 spots to scope out on a lake though?

    Mostly not worth the effort.

Drve the 3-4 hours and RIP south eastern Oh. or western Pa!

I hit a few hills near Pittsburg friday and saturday........... forever in length....... crazy speeds, crazy smooth.........

    Hi all,

Just an FYI. On May 20, there will be a public hearing on the proposed location, Veterans Memorial Park, of the Ann Arbor skatepark.

This meeting may be our biggest, most important milestone in the skatepark process. If we can show enough public support, we can secure the Veterans Memorial Park location, and then begin the fundraising. You can help make it happen by simply coming to the meeting. If the city sees enough bodies, well be golden!

If you are going to be in the area that day, please make an effort to come to the hearing. And, if you'd like to speak at the meeting, please let me know. Here are the details:

City to Hold Public Hearing on Skatepark Location

The City of Ann Arbor Park Advisory Commission will be holding a public hearing on Tuesday, May 20 at 4:00 PM in Ann Arbors City Hall to consider the Northwest corner of Veterans Memorial Park as the location for a permanent skatepark.

The Ann Arbor Skatepark Action Committee is working to create a safe, public recreation area for skateboarders, inline skaters and rollerskaters. The committee is made up of a broad range of community members. Their goal is to design and build an unprecedented skatepark, integrating public art and environmentally sound construction techniques in the project.

The public is encouraged to come and show their support of the Ann Arbor Skatepark initiative, and specifically, the proposed location in Veterans Memorial Park. For more information, visit a2skatepark.org, or contact Trevor Staples at (734) 223-9837

    THANKS!

    -Trevor
