:o No, that was useless to me just tell me so I don't have to put that much effort into it.
 Yeah yeah, screw you too pal. Teach a man to fish...
 You're assholes!
I recruited another Old school sk8ur ( Mark B) into some A2 carving sessions with us
My next deck is for him, he works on my computers when I need help.....
I remember riding my BMX bike and he rolled up on this killer Tony Alva super fat deck in maybe 79-80.......... You can now buy it in all its retro glory, at least I saw it someplace as a retro deck hailing the roots of old school fat decks............
Man with weather as sketchy as it is........ Early Sunday mornings are best due to low traffic conditions and the threat of the FUZZ Theres some decent hills in A2 worth hitting up. Many are on the west side. Nothing huuuuuuge and long but certainly worth it if your and hour or so drive.
I'll drag Doc Frye out soon and he can help relate whats its like.....
5th st, Soule Blvd, Minor, 3rd st (hellish steep), many others...... very carveable
I have lots of other obligations...... so my attendance is gonna be limited..... But hell yeah get some ride time and then make some dates happen.
I know i'll be going to Sleepy Bear dunes the last weekend of August, plenty huge hills and camping etc.....
Okay on my way home from school today........... heres a link to the satelite map Google Maps
I scoped out all the old hills in A2.......
there are some runs that will be .2 miles long and some as long as .8 miles long!
We need to have enough riders to have a van haul us back to the top Ya know take turns driving the buggy up and down the hills......... these are residential streets that are very carvable. It is possible you could go waaaaaaaaaaay to fast on some of them and DIE
Heres a break down from the bunny hills to the longer more intense hills:
Ivywood, short
Soule Blvd., short
Fifth St., long straight
Brooks, long straight
Fountain, long straight
(Daniel, Gott, Spring are all bumpy) they are long but the crappy pavement is not worth my time.
Pomona smoooooooooth hooking back onto Loyola is nice, and long, and semi curvey, you miss Loyola and your gonna have a serious bad crash...........
Redoak Is like Pomona and hooks a right onto Wendy then back onto Redoak, you need to be able to slow down dragging some foot or nice slide skills at speed for the finish. Theres some other streets that you can start from and turn onto RedOak, they are Vesper, Bending, and Robin............ you better know how to carve little billy
Sunset & Third are Wicked steep and Sunset is waaaaaaaaay bumpy if you can rip these 2 hills I'll buy you a case of beer and I mean rip them, not super tight carve them to death
