Catamaranning may be the only skating I do for the next couple weeks. In order to compensate for $4 gas, I've been riding my bike to work a couple times a week. Yesterday as I was peddling along something in my left knee went pop. Good and loud. It didn't hurt. I just figured it was like sometimes when you get up after sitting a long time and your knees crack. Didn't stop me. I rode the rest of the way in to work. But as I sat at my desk all day, my knee started to feel worse and worse. I got up to pee and I was walking like a peg-leg pirate. I had to have the better half come and get me at the end of the day rather than try to ride home.

My trainer/daughter said I need to keep it wrapped up in a knee-wrap and take a couple weeks off from bike riding and skating. Sux deluxe.

Mangels - Sorry to hear about the Pop. I went through a knee thing a couple of years ago (meniscus) and so far have made a full recovery. Keep us up to date and hopefully you subscribed to the mnlbc.com mailing list so you get all the updates. Would be good to coordinate your visit with a mnlbc get together. We will consider your membership in mnlbc.com as part of the deal in the trade of Farve to the Vikings.

Not that I'm a Packers fan ... I was born and raised in Chicago ... but I have learned a few things living here in Wisconsin. Like the proper spelling of #4's name. FAVRE. Go figure. Looks like FAH-vray, but is actually pronounced FARV. Stupid Packers. You can have him. He's a really classy guy, and he went out with a lot of class. He's kinda blowin' his coolness with this mind-changing escapade. But what the heck do I know? The Bears haven't had a good QB in forever.

The knee is already feeling a lot better. It's still a little swollen. I'm not wearing the knee wrap today. I'm walking like a normal person. I'm doing alright on the stairs. I don't wanna rush it though. Prolly no skating this weekend.

I dunno. It mostly hurt around the back of the knee - the "knee-pit"?

Just got back from Dunwoody, I was hoping someone would be there with a few cones, but no one else showed up today lol. Hopefully people can make it out next Sunday (August 3rd), I'm anxious for some more cone dodging.

I would love to try that..I drove down there on the 26th and the gates were down and there was a security officer patrolling the lot in his car..So I went under the bridge and parked and rode the west bound 394 on ramp that was shut down..it was probably not the smartest thing but I had to try it cuz it was there, period.

My knee is a constant struggle, I had surgery to reconstruct my ACL 7 years ago and if I even walk for a mile let alone, skate for 4 hours, when I get home I have to ice it down for the rest of the night.
