Default Ditches in Chicago suburbs?

Anyone know of any?
The only know I know of is in Rockford, but it's 2 hours away from me.
It's nice though, especially if you shortboard. It has a nice ledge on it.
It's just too far.

That's kind of the response I was expecting... You're a little closer to Rockford than me. You can see the Rockford ditch in this video a little bit. It might be worth the drive.

Hello? The Palatine ditch is the oldest and most famous of all chicagoland ditches. There is also a nice hill next to it. It's off of Palatine Rd. and I want to say Nerge but I may be wrong. There is a Mini mart on the corner and it you're heading East on Palatine you can't miss it. The ditch isn't visible fromt the street but the huge water retention pond next to it is. It is big. If you need better direction let me know.

We've thrown full on parts there and have been skating it for well over 20 years. By now i think it's just what it is. You won't get in trouble. Just remember one thing. Leave your spray paint at home because then you will go to jail.

I found the Palatine Ditch on google earth.
It's on Palatine and Quentin and it's red.
Just go to mapquest and type in

Palatine Rd and Quentin Rd.
Palatine, IL

I'm gonna have to find someone to drive up there with me soon...

I passed it a couple weeks back and it was painted brick red. If you didn't know where it was at you'd probably miss it. It's next to a large water retention pond on Palatine Rd. and I think Nerge. NE corner. You walk across the street from the minimart then diagonal through some medium brush for about 50 yards. There used to be small trails from traffic. Probably still there because it's looks like it's still being sessioned.

There it is, Palatine and Quentin
It says that gas station is a citgo, the minimart is a 711, and the food places are Subway and Vini's Pizzeria, if that helps at all.
Google earth could be wrong though.
