I went so far as to message my EX's friend on facebook to find out where it was. I plan on taking a trip out there after i get my board.
i live in lake barrington, there are some really good hills on a road called oak knoll. also this road in barrington hills, honeycutt, both have some amazingly huge hills. i would also suggest tower lakes or biltmore but these are a little bit more residential, with more cars. oak knoll is best because the road is amazingly smooth, most of the cars are landscapers for a golf course near buy and there are huge hills.

So I am close to you guys out in woodstock, and I always keep my board in my car with me.

Re: Chicago Longboard Society
Hey all- its good to see so many riders in this area. I used to live in Portland Oregon and since moving back to the Chicagoland area haven't done as much riding as I'd like- the hills aren't quite the same if ya know what I mean... I'm in the Lake Zurich area (northwest burbs) a few good hills. if anyone wants to get together for a ride shoot me an email jbeshoar@hotmail.com

Re: Chicago Longboard Society
Just droping in to see whats up. I live downtown, too close to Wrigley field(Grace and Clark). Just got into long boarding. Since Chicago is flat as balls I'm guessing everyone hits up garages for skating. I haven't gone out yet bc I haven't bought my long board yet. If you wanna skate drop me a line I'm usually around.

Chicago's not that anal, or at least the city isn't. The only times that I've been kicked out of parking garages were from the parking security, never the actual police. In fact, every time the police come up, they just told us we had to leave if anyone complains.
Skating is supposedly illegal in the business district, but I skate by police there all the time and even wish 'em a good day.
You can skate on the Lake Shore Drive bike path, but don't go during the "rush periods", way too damn packed. In the summer, it's fun to skate around there with some friends, then go hit up the beaches for a bit, and skate again later on.
