Hey guys, Im moving out to chicago proper from Kauai.... We are blessed with tons of hills although relatively short (product of Island topography). I know that the chicago area looks relatively flat but could you let me know if you know of any nice hills that will get you up 35mph + or if not that fast at least nice and technical if a little bit slower. I almost sold my evo cause I figured there would be no hills in the Chicago area. Please convince me Im wrong. Selling my downhill board would be like selling my daughter...

We all go to Lemont where 35+ can be found on many hills. We have about 130 members now and can be found on our facebook page. Go there and sign up to keep up to date with the happenings in and around the city. I myself love my evo and use it every time I go there.

ive been longboarding with my friends for about a year, we all ended up geting ingured and quit for a while, but now we want to get back into it and we wanted to know how to sign up for CLS

Any recommendations on good skateshops in chicago?

There are no Skateshops in the city that sell Longboard Gear. There is however, Uprise on Milwaukee Ave. that sells some Dogtown longboard completes and a few others. I go there weekly, super cool guys.

And there is a place called Tradewinds way out in McHenry or Crystal Lake that has a good selection of quality product. We also get some sweet deals from internet vendors you can find by checking out our Chicago Longboard Society Facebook page.

the place i got my longboard at is called "Totally Board". their website is tbskate.com and they are located in la grange. its a family owned shop, they are really helpful and fun to talk with

Greeting Everyone
for names sake its best to jst call me paco but i am frm chicago orginally and moved out to woodstock, il some years back (maybe you've seen groundhogs day) our town is pretty boring but we have managed to find some surrounding area's with goods runs i actually was clocked goin about 35/40mph out on a road by us... anyways outhere bout a yr ago a few of us got together and dubbed ourselfs the local420 longboarders union now we have bout 15riders on a full day and a core 6 including me who are really digging it man so i'd love to gets some connects with cls and meet some new riders and new runs
