hey last week I saw a kid around 18 pushing a sec9 on lake ave woodstock I was going to talk to him but I was going to start the tow truck so I had no time, maybe was one of you guys

I just went to trade winds cove yesterday. They have the largest longboard selection i have scene in any store. Alot of s9, gravity and loaded. They also stock the whole ABEC11 line. Great shop, good prices, check it out

Hey guys I live in Elmhurst, about 30 minutes west of chicago. Should I buy my loaded longboard off of daddiesboards or at a local shop in chicago.

I would check out Tradewinds Cove up in Crystal Lake. I know Dave carries Loaded.
I think Shred Shop up in Skokie does too, but I'm not sure about prices there.

Is there a compiled list of shops for our area? A daughter used to work in Zoomies at Gurnee mills but I haven't been out there yet. I don't expect a lot considering it's in the mall.

This is the closest I found to a quick list in the fish.

I been on emricson park lately I love that little trail,and some days on sanctuary sub-division on country club road( good hills and quiet ) and there is a lot of spots around,I live in Harvard,join the society and we can setup some sesh or e-mail me enriquegambitopariente@hotmail.com

trend cellars have mainly shortboards and one or two sectors 9,Tradewinds its the place to go,
good thing about trend cellars its their 25 bucks brand name skate shoes selection

im in cls already but w/e

i live in harvard illinois, chicago is about an hour drive but i can pretty much go whenever. there is 2 other guys i ride with enrique and cristian who both live in harvard. i attended the chicago cone crusher event i tried to do what i could by picking up cones when people knocked them down good job on that event again justin it was sick, and thanks for letting us go to your house larry.

i try to get more people in cls, well that is all the longboarders i meet anyways.


is the scavenger event on may 1st?

aye paco, im from harvard about 10 minutes from woodstock. me and 2 other guys ride in woodstock alot, we are going to ride in chicago this weekend at the shedd aquarium. maybe we could hook up and ride sometime? were do you ride at? we ride at emricson park in woodstock not the greatest but at least its something i dont know if youve ridden there before but they dont care if you ride i see people there all the time on boards too.

Mayish or early June

Time Frame:

Meet at 11:00am
Start at 12:00pm
End at 3 PM on the dot, every minute late is minus 1 point (better to be early).

2 hours for mini games at end

3-5 hippie jump, nosy, and a TBA contest
5-6 give some prizes. drink, eat, be merry.

/all @ 6 PM -- more skate, food, bars, etc

Stipulations:

Longboard Photo Scavenger hunt in teams of 3-5

ONLY shots from ONE camera will be counted,
other cameras welcome, but use only one for the hunt

Point System

3 points for each picture w/ Chicago Art or Historical Building
1 point for each picture of gettin a random person a longboard (a whole team can get anywhere from 3-5).

Whichever team has the most points at end of an event wins--we'll be tallying the score onsite during the other competitions.

The Hunt Limits

The Loop
Downtown
Near North

Specific street boundaries for NSW will be revealed day of the hunt.

Picture Locations

TBA -- We'll be giving/emailing (for the iphone/blackberry peoples) laminated maps of the area (you can roll them up and make a pirate telescope--can't do that with your iphone/blackberry, now can ye?) labeled w/ the art/landmarks eligible for the hunt.

All this and some conditions will be a surprise for event day, but we'll be keeping the hunt closed to the loop, downtown, and the near north.

so its not really a race like theres this this and this first one back with the pics wins? i take it its more of a theres this this and this be back at three with POINTS. what are the chicago laws about skateboarding on the sidewalks? or will i be city surfing?
