I have created this thread as an attempt to connect all the various longboarders around the city. Hopefully we can get you guys to upload your info so it will be easier to hook up with each other. Since Chicagoland is such a big sprawling area, I would like to invite people to Chicago to ride with us and also schedule dates where we can ride your spots as well. CLS has secured sponsors to assist us in any gatherings or events we might put on, but the problem is we need greater numbers to support such sponsorships. My sponsors can supply event shirts and stickers, banners and much needed cash, along with the proper permits to actually put on a fun and legal event. They also are willing to donate product for raffles of product tosses to help draw more people and are also able to assist in advertising around Chicagoland to help gain a wider audience. First things first though. Before any of this can happen we need to acquire more riders who are willing to represent the crew and would like to reap the benefits of a solid crew and team discounts. I invite anyone interested to please post here so we can hook up and skate. We are allowing all skill levels and benefits will be based not on contests, but on spreading the stoke. Longboarding rocks and I feel it shouldn't be too hard to get more people involved with our fine sport. The more people you get involved in the sport, the more you take on a leadership roll in the Society, the better the discounts and the better the hook ups. With Sector9 being bought by Quiksilver I see longboarding about to explode over the next two years. And when Midwest companies decide to get into longboarding who do you think they're gonna ask.....us. So send me a line and I'll send you some stickers. At some point CLS will be prototyping some new decks and it'll sure help to have a broader design team to test out our product. I'd rather give out free decks to people I know than send off to John Doe and hope he rides well enough to give usable feedback.

anyways, i live in carol stream which is a suburb of chicago, but i live close to a train station and id def head to chicago to skate with people, i have 1 friend here who got me into longboarding, so i would love to have a crew.
anyways, if something is going on, id like to get in on it ASAP so let me know :P

idk? You said you wanted to check out the Soldier Field run. And if you're busy until 6 it kind of limits us to the city. By the time we get to Lemont or Hinsdale the sun will be going down. Let me know where you wanna ride. I'm dpwn for whatevs.
Everyone is welcome to ride with us. If anyone is available Tuesday we're trying to get a session going. Altair works til 6 so we might keep it in the city. I will be available around three so if anybody wants to hook up earlier that'd be great as well. Like I said earlier, I do have transport so if anybody needs a ride let me know. I'll try to fit it in before the ride. .If I gotta spend three hours driving from Carol Stream to Arlington Heights etc. that's cool just toss a few bucks for gas and I'll scoop you up. Prime....Don't worry about being new or unskilled. If you enjoy longboarding and would like to ride with others hit me up. We won't judge you. If anyone has a better place to ride we're down for anything.
