Re: hardcore bands
set your goals and four year strong this thursday. more excited than ever. i advise anyone here to listen to them.
ps, if you really have the urge to listen to iwrestledabearonce, listen to some converge. i know wannabe mathcore is the new in fad, but converge is just better at it and they have been doing it since the 90s. leave it to the people who know what theyre doing.

anybody else go?
I was at this is hardcore last weekend. It was one of the longest and best weekends of my life, and that includes escaping a crack head who ran into our party and stole my friend's wallet. The crowd was huge and it was a testament to the dedication of today's true hardcore community, to withstand pummeling heat all weekend long. You could fill a 40 bottle with the sweat that hung in the air.
I'm going through serious TIH withdrawal this weekend, my only excitement being the bombing of some gnar hills.
Highlights of TIH 2009: Suicide File, Shipwreck, and Have Heart Friday night.
Saturday, My friends from Bmore, Mindset, The Mongoloids new lineup, COLD WORLD, Slumlords, some block party we attended where girls were on stage grinding everything with two legs including a guy in a dog costume wearing a Michael Vick jersey.
Robbery saturday night...we were mugged haha
Sunday: Foundation, Bane and Blacklisted.
All the bands were off the chain and I recommend that everyone goes next year and bring your boards so we can thrash Philly.
Longest post ever, but I am honestly nostalgic for something in my life that only happened a week ago.

Reason: Oh i forgot Ceremony, I got to hang out with Ross and he is the chillest dude ever...when he's not on stage that is.

Saw them last monday, it was dope but I got some broken bones so couldn't #### jump on top of people / sing verses and all that fun ####. I saw them this winter while I was in SD and it was epic, hangin' upside down off the beams singin' with Pat Flynn I've decided I'm goin' to go down to massachusetts for edge day october 17th. It'll be their last show ever, very promising plus bane is gonna be there, sick ####.

If your sister won't take you, hop a train and we'll adopt you for the weekend, haha.

Re: hardcore bands
Core this core that, hard/grind/death etc etc etc. Cant we just all agree thats its metal. I mean how many different kinds of skaters are on here, and we are just promoting skating right? Sure we break it down into sliding, slalom, carving etc. Im just sick of all these sub-sub genres of metal. "No this isn't metal, it has a cowbell in it." Or "Dude that extra guitar player in the band makes it extra guitarcore." I mean really, they have a new name for these types of music all the time, who cares, we all know its the sickest music out there! Lets just enjoy what everybody brings to the table as far as the bands they like, and agree to disagree on the genre naming, not the music.

Yeah I agree on the enjoying the music part, but it's like saying all skating is the same. Slalom isn't the same as downhill, and Comeback Kid isn't the same as Whitechappel.
