no, because when it comes to Hardcore, its NOT metal.
is this Metal? GOD no.
and who is it? Bad Brains, one of THE biggest and most influencial hardcore bands of all time.
i dont have ANYTHING against metal, i loves it. but Hardcore aint metal. it only gets close to it twords the end of its reign. Check out FEAR's "American Beer" album... thats somewhat of an example, but you can still hear the heavy hardcore influence they still use.
Hell Agnostic Front is the same way.

Hardcore Punk;
After punk's heyday in the late 1970s, a younger generation was inspired to continue shocking attacks against the status quo through underground gigs and records. Any kid with a white T-shirt and a Magic Marker could join the club, bangingout adolescent uncertainty in a room filled peers equally addicted to brazen power and nonconformity. British hardcore bands like GHB and espescially Discharge were more preoccupied with global politics. American hardcore was a succession of scene revolts, chasting uncool behavior with the litany of antisocial anthems. Alone in the crowd, the Misfits wore ghoulish makeupand retained a heavy metal fascination with skulls and crossbones. Many of these bands were ESSENTIALLY HEAVY METAL BANDS minus the commercial expectations . Quoted from page 176 of "The Sound of the Beast" by Ian Christe.
Just sayin.

THE ACACIA STRAIN RULES you didnt add whitechapel tho? EVERYONE likes whitechapel hahah.
AND I DONT SEE ANY "VEIL OF MAYA" <-----best metal band out right now in my honest opinion.
all the bands you listed are mainstream bands are all mainstream deathmetal, for some extra extra brutal brutal hit this band up.....VIRAEMIA on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads
they are alot like brain drill but.....well....just more brutal, all they have out is a EP and its AMAZING.
any way keep it brutal.

These young bucks do seem to refer to a lot of eye-liner metal fashion bullshit butt-rock bands as hardcore. Hardcore punk is a live in 2009 and it doesn't involve pig vocals. Like what you want, but I abhor how many hot topic kids think they like hardcore but don't know the first thing about it.
Hardcore doesn't simply mean HEAVY.
I love Heavy I love metal, but damn I hate this fashioncore monstrosity.
You want cross-over metalcore? Listen to Merauder, Earth Crisis, All Out War, etc...

i think the whole scene trend is finally going dead.it all started with that ####### bring me the horizon band bullshit. most of the death metal now has gone away form pig vocals..and no death metal band looks like pussys....ever seen the acacia strain?
as far as real hard core goes
KIDS LIKE US is my favorite.

Re: hardcore bands
alright... first off... Between the Buried and Me anybody?? I know they are more Prog than hardcore but they are (in my opinion) the best band out right now colors is amazing and their next album I think will take album of the year...
other than that:
the fall of troy used to be amazing but they are not as good anymore their next album sounds like it could be trash
Arsonists get all the girls are an amazing band
The number 12 look like you are amazing mongrel is great their new album (worse than alone) is just ok
if you want real old fashioned screamo than Circle takes the square and Raein are both great
iwrestledabearonce are ok their EP was better than their first release in my opinion
the human abstract's first album nocturn was amazing.. their new one is garbage
The Irish Front
Miss May I
Protest the hero ( I know they are more prog)
and these two bands arent hardcore but you should check them out anyways:
maps and atlases and Minus the Bear
long I know sorry...

i know. have heart played their last show in my town on my birthday and i was too late finding out to get tickets . went to the show, found some scabs. people were asking 50 bucks +. not really worth it but looking back after getting my birthday money i really wish i would have done it.
agression is one of my favorite hardcore albums of all time. chapters 2,3 by verse are some of the most touching lyrics ive heard in my life. so ####### epic.

Re: hardcore bands
Okay, Champion brought me back into the thread. Did you see their Final Show DVD? I bought it and it was the best set I've seen. I'd suggest buying it, it was well worth the money.
