although some of those bands are good none of them are hardcore. i knew hdmr when they were first getting popular with cameron as their singer about 4 years ago. the other bullshit on that list is NOT hardcore. if you want some new age hardcore (not talking about minor threat, adolescents etc) listen to
have heart, casey jones, hoods, recon, bane, converge, deez nuts, force of change, sleeping giant, thick as blood, the warriors and many more.
hardcore and death metal are NOT the same genre. the scene is just trying to make it that way.
btw, adtr is post-hardcore. although they are not as heavy as some they put on one HELL of an amazing show.
i just named a few bands off the top of my head. let me name a few more that i listen to.

well if you dont belive me go to the bands i listed, and go to their myspace and see what genre they posted themselves as. And i said hardcore/ death metal. even tho some of these bands are metalcore/ deathcore/ grindcore.

im not knocking your metal bands.. theyre just not hardcore.. influenced by hardcore bands? dont see why not. Look at Pantera.. theyre bad fucking ass and acredit alot of influence on bands like black flag.
hardcore influenced alot of metal. its a good thing.
but its a different thing.
