    Default Great Cover Version(s)

"You're The One That I Want" -- The Beautiful South

Yes, it's the song from the movie Grease. It's excellent. They also cover "Don't Fear The Reaper" and "Blitzkrieg Bop" on the same album.

The vocals on the cover version are Paul Heaton and Alison Wheeler (sp?). Paul has been in the Housemartins and The Beautiful South, and Alison replaced Jacquie Abbott (sp?) who replaced Briana Corrigan (sp?).

Also highly recommended is "Don't Stop Movin'" from the same album.

And then there's "Dont Marry Her, **** Me"

By far, one of the best covers was Lenny Kravitz's version of "American Woman." The Ataris didn't do a bad job with "Boys of Summer," either.

Less Than Jake coveres the entire Grease soundtrack. I'm not much of a Grease fan, but I love covers, and just the idea of doing an entire album is cool.

Goldfinger's cover of 99 red baloons
Save Ferris's covers of Come on Eileen and Build Me up Buttercup.
Reel Big Fish's cover of Hungry Like the Wolf

I like ska way too much
