pretty good stuff...you'll want to check out "time is running out", "butterflies and hurricanes", "ruled by secrecy" and so forth and so on. everything on Absolution is decent. the lead-matt bellamy sounds like thom yorke-ish (post pablo honey) especially on "blackout". good stuff though.

Yeah, my buddy is burnin me a copy of that tomarrow. He & his bro's band does a KILLER cover of Hysteria. Heh, good stage presence on it to, cause for the verse the younger brother on guitar(AWESOME, too) stands behind his bro and plays his bass while he sings the verse, then they both go back for the chorus & so on.. awesome little **** for gigs.

absolution feels watered down in comparison to origin of symmetry or showbiz

very good stuff for bad moods, i don't really think it's hardcore though

thom yorke whines on the higher notes and whispers on low notes. matthew bellamy sounds clear and haunting all the way up to a dog whistle. matt bellamy is a better guitarist too in my opinion.

Muse is just freekin' great! Lots of people like to talk about all the bands they sound kinda like .... Yea, they have some of the best pieces of about 5 great bands... they do it as a 3 piece and it rocks.... Nuff Said.

for you file sharers... check out "Muse at Montreux Jazz Festival 2002" Good 75 min show for you.

*Shrug* whatever you say.. I like having a diverse taste in music.. I think if anything it would make me more hardcore(not tooting my own horn, mind you) but look at bands like Bad Brains & Striknein D.C.
Bad Brains blended Reggae/FirstWave Ska with American Hardcore & a few other vibes & put out something totally unique & undeniably awesome. They did it first & still do it best. Striknein is right up there too.. same kinda deal just more ska vibe than reggae, more hardcore & streetpunk, AND they're from Ireland. :P

That boy has one lush ass collection of stomp boxes too! It's nice that his sound never ends up all muddy... partly 'cause of the smaller amps he uses too methinks...
