i think 12 including sharps and flats

yeah i was always taught that it was 8 notes and it included an a on each end, so it would be abcdefga like that, well actualy cdfgabc cuz it started at c

notes drive me crazy, and my inability to understand them has started to inhibit my progress as i dont kno jack about keys or anyof that stuff, i just know how to play (i dont think i even know the names of the strings) anyof you guys have some advice for a guitarist in need of a basic lesson in music theory? i was thinking of taking voice lessons to help me better understand what exactly im playing, and of course to make it so i can sing a little less painfully

yeah its really all the same notes, it just depends on what your playing

at the`comunity college here u can take music theory 1 for like 100 bucks
