yeah i was always taught that it was 8 notes and it included an a on each end, so it would be abcdefga like that, well actualy cdfgabc cuz it started at c

eh you can start wherever i think if u take painno lessons thay start at c guitar lessons start at e my brass lessons started at b w/e lol

thats the notes for each string on a guitar so that would be
EADGBE
and then

you need to remember that on the guitar its only a half step from the nots b to c and from e to f

you need to remember that on the guitar its only a half step from the nots b to c and from e to f
and every other insturment to there called natrual half steps there also the spaces on the paino where there is no black key.
