Cymbals (calling the fellow drummers)
Hey guys I am curious as to what your cymbals set ups are and what your favorite cymbal you have is and why.
Right now I am sporting some K mastersound 14" hats, a K custom medium 20" ride, a 20" A custom sizzle ride, an A custom 18" crash and then some other **** thats just crap in comparison that isnt worth saying.
I LOVE my sizzle ride because I can get so much out of it since you can beat the **** out of it and get a real nice crash with a long sustain from the rivets or you can ride on it real light and get a real light mellow bright sound out of it.

Cymbal shopping always gives me a headache because they all sound different, even 2 of the exact same ones. But yeah in general I like sizzle rides, those are sweet. I have Sabian B8 series hi-hats, 16" and 17" crashes, 22" ride.

This thread makes me very happy.
From Left to right...
13" Sabian HHX Groove Hats
17" Zildjian A Custom Fast Crash
20" Sabian HH Jazz Ride
20" Sabian AAX Dark Crash
I'm looking to add a China and a Splash soon.
The thing with cymbals is, they all need to play well together. What I did when looking for a 2nd crash was take the whole setup to my favorite drum shop, Ressurection Drums. They let me set up what I had and throw prospective crashes into the mix. The 20" AAX just sounded best with the other stuff. It's a loud pice of metal.

ZXT medium crash 18"
ZBT crash 16"
Wuhan china 18" and 12"
Wuhan splash 10"
ya, as far as crashes go i ran outa money, but they sounds decent, im really likeing my hihat and ride though, because not only do they both give a ver yclean, dark, subtle sound, but they sound really nice together.

I don't even really know what kind of cymbals I have, but I know I have 14" Sabian Hats, a Wuhan 10" splash, a Zildjian 20" ride(I love it so much), some 14" crash and an 18" crash. Now that I've landed a job, I'm hoping to score some more cymbals soon.

my friend is a drummer and hes gonna write this post
K Customs are the sh!t and are awsome, im looking to get one, but what i have right now is:
A 14'' New Beat Hats
A 18'' Medium Crash
A Custom 17'' Projection Crash
A 19'' Rock Crash
A 20'' Ping Ride
the 19'' rock crash is way to resonating and heavy and im looking to replace it with a huge k custom crash, so anyone who's thinking of being experimental, dont be stupid and go toooooo big

k custom dark is the nicest sounding crash cymbal ever. only thing, its a medium cymbal, so not for any metal or hardcore, but then again i wouldnt expect that from someone with a screename "mellow out"

Yeah, its a little too expensive though. I'm looking into now getting an A medium thin crash 18". It'll be good to have a more responsive crash in the mix.
